Bayley has revealed that she would be open to exploring opportunities outside WWE if the chance ever arises.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the former champion discussed the evolving landscape of professional wrestling and the growing number of cross-promotional relationships between major companies.
In recent months, WWE programming has increasingly referenced other promotions such as TNA Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, a shift that Bayley believes reflects how interconnected the industry has become.
“You don’t want to just be one thing,” Bayley said. “There are so many promotions. When you have guys like AJ Styles, Sami Zayn or Finn Balor, they’ve all been to these places.”
While Bayley has spent the majority of her career in WWE since signing with the company in 2012, she admitted that there are still other platforms she would like to experience.
“I would love to dip my toes in TNA and AAA,” she said. “If we have the doors to do that, I would love to go.”
Bayley Explains Why She Wants To Wrestle In TNA
Bayley explained that her interest in TNA stems from the impact the promotion’s Knockouts division had on her during her early years as a wrestling fan.
“TNA was one of my dreams as a kid,” she said. “I love the Knockouts division. They were like the hottest division for so long.”
She also named Gail Kim as one of her biggest inspirations and revealed that she once participated in a tryout for the promotion.
“Gail Kim’s one of my favourites,” Bayley said. “I did a tryout for TNA years ago, like 2010 or something. The Knockouts division has always been a dream.”
The possibility of crossover appearances has become a topic of growing speculation as WWE and TNA have recently allowed talent to appear on each other’s programming.
Meanwhile, Bayley is currently focused on her next opportunity inside WWE. She is scheduled to compete in a number one contender’s gauntlet match on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, where the winner will earn a shot at AJ Lee’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
The match will also feature Iyo Sky, Asuka and Lyra Valkyria, with Bayley widely considered one of the favourites heading into the bout.
