Former WWE star Batista has gained 20 pounds in preparation for his role as Kratos in Amazon’s upcoming God of War television series. Batista revealed on Instagram that he has spent the past two months weight training, bringing his weight to 250 pounds. He was cast in August after original star Ryan Hurst suffered a stunt-related injury requiring surgery and an extended recovery period, forcing production to pause before the role was recast.
Developed by Ronald D. Moore, the series has received a two-season order, with both seasons scheduled to film back-to-back. Based on the popular video game franchise, the story follows Kratos and his son Atreus, played by Callum Vinson, as they journey to scatter the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. The cast also includes Mandy Patinkin, Ed Skrein and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Rhodes praised Momoa’s suitability for professional wrestling and said he encouraged the film’s cast to explore opportunities with WWE. He particularly singled out seven-foot-tall Richters, who portrays Zangief, suggesting his size would make him a natural fit for a wrestling appearance. Rhodes said WWE welcomes celebrity involvement and hoped his co-stars would experience his wrestling career firsthand. The Street Fighter film also features Roman Reigns as Akuma and NJPW star Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.
WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton has revealed that his Instagram account has been hacked, with the alleged hacker demanding $350 in cryptocurrency to return control of it. Morton confirmed the situation on Facebook, saying he received no two-factor authentication warnings or notifications from Instagram and that Meta has provided little meaningful support. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express legend explained that he had spent years building his social media presence to connect with fans, share memories and promote wrestling events, making the loss particularly upsetting. Morton has publicly appealed to Instagram and Meta for assistance in recovering his account and urged fans not to click suspicious links or send money in response to messages from the compromised profile.
