Seth Rollins has admitted that Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show made him emotional.
At this year’s Super Bowl, the halftime show was performed by music megastar Bad Bunny. The show was widely seen as a celebration of America and a call for unity during a time of division in the United States.
Speaking on Good Morning Football, Bad Bunny’s fellow WWE star, Seth Rollins, praised the show and the “beautiful” message it sent.
“There was another moment to me that I wanted to get into a little bit cause we didn’t talk about it too much yesterday, and that was the halftime show.
“I wanted to give a shout out to Bad Bunny, cause it was just awesome. My colleague Benito. Fellow WWE superstar. I mean, there was a lot of talk going into the halftime show about this and that and this and that. But at the end of the day, it was about unity. His message was about bringing people together. Love is stronger than hate, and I just thought that was so beautiful and so powerful, and it didn’t matter where you come from, what your background was, what your ethnicity is, your religious background, anything. It was just about love.
“It was like, come as you are, be a part of this, and I thought that was beautiful. It was a bigger kind of- that’s what the Super Bowl is. That’s what football is. You bring everybody together. You watch this game. You talk about it. We’re talking about it, and there’s just so much joy that comes from football and that comes from being together as a community, as one with different cultures.
“It was such a beautiful halftime show. I don’t even know a single Bad Bunny song. I was nearly in tears by the end of it. I was nearly in tears by the end of it. Messaging was beautiful.”
Seth Rollins Hopes To Return To WWE Before WrestleMania 42
Seth Rollins has been out of action since Crown Jewel in October, when he suffered a shoulder injury in his match against Cody Rhodes. The Visionary was forced to undergo surgery soon after and has been in recovery since then.
In a recent update, Seth Rollins was still optimistic he would be back in the ring in time for WrestleMania 42 in April, saying his recovery timeframe was roughly six months. However, he admitted that the final decision was out of his hands, as WWE will need to clear him to compete again.
