A new backstage report has shed light on WWE’s plans for Crown Jewel 2026 amid ongoing security concerns in Saudi Arabia.
The premium live event is scheduled for Riyadh on November 7, but a series of attacks in the country over the past month has raised questions about whether WWE could relocate the show.
Despite the uncertainty, WWE reportedly remains committed to holding Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, with no discussions about moving the event elsewhere. According to PWInsider Elite, the company is continuing preparations for Crown Jewel in Riyadh, reinforcing an earlier report from late September that indicated there were no plans to change the location.
WWE Crown Jewel Plans Remain Unchanged Following Security Consultations
The report states that WWE has been consulting with both the Saudi Arabian government and a private security firm with expertise in the region. WWE is reportedly relying on these security specialists’ advice when assessing the situation, and the company is unwilling to make decisions about Crown Jewel without their approval.
Although WWE continues to monitor developments closely, there is reportedly no truth to speculation that the premium live event could be relocated to Europe. The company has also continued advertising Crown Jewel as taking place in Riyadh, with two major champion-versus-champion matches already announced.
During Monday’s episode of Raw, WWE promoted Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, while WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green is scheduled to face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
Both matches were advertised for Riyadh, suggesting that the company is proceeding with its original plans. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque further reinforced those plans on Tuesday by promoting Crown Jewel on social media.
While the ongoing security situation could still influence future decisions, WWE has made no official announcement about a potential postponement or venue change. For now, Crown Jewel remains scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh, and WWE reportedly continues to communicate regularly with security experts as the event approaches.
