Kairi Sane remains a free agent just days before AEW All In, making speculation about a surprise appearance at Wembley Stadium appear unlikely for now.
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion has attracted interest since leaving WWE, with AEW among the potential destinations fans have discussed. However, there is currently no indication that she has completed a deal with any promotion. During a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked whether AEW could keep Thekla available for a potential Kairi Sane debut at All In.
“As of right this moment, as I film this, the last weekend of August, or the second-to-last weekend of August, Kairi isn’t signed to any company,” Sapp said. “There’s still work to be done on that.”
While the update makes an appearance at All In less likely, Sapp did not indicate that Kairi had rejected AEW or that discussions with any interested promotions had ended.

Questions about Kairi Sane’s future have also been fuelled by Thekla’s position heading into All In. The former AEW Women’s World Champion does not currently have a major match announced for the event, although Sapp believes she deserves a prominent role regardless of whether Kairi is involved.
“I’m not sure what Thekla is doing at All In, but she absolutely deserves to be on the card in a substantial way,” Sapp said. “The fact that she isn’t, as of yet, is kind of weird because she is huge for them, and she should probably be winning on that card as things stand.”
Kairi previously revealed to ShuPro that she had received numerous offers from promotions in Japan and elsewhere following her WWE departure, but had yet to decide on her next destination.
“I haven’t made a final decision yet,” Kairi said. “I’m prepared to complete a new story from here, all the way to the end.”
Speculation about a potential move to AEW increased after Kairi listed veteran agent Barry Bloom as her representative for business enquiries. Bloom represents several prominent AEW performers, although that connection has not resulted in a confirmed agreement with the company.
For now, Kairi remains unsigned, with work reportedly still required before she commits to the next stage of her wrestling career.
