The backstage reaction to Brock Lesnar’s botched entrance on Monday’s episode of Raw has been revealed.
Speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Bronson Reed recalled what happened immediately after Brock Lesnar made his entrance on Monday’s Raw and slipped and landed on his back as he went to stomp on the ground as his pyro went off. Reed said:
“I saw him slip and somehow back-roll, get straight back to his feet. And in my mind, I was like, he’s either going to laugh this off, which he seemed to do, or he’s going to be very angry, and all those guys in the ring are going to pay for it.”
Apparently, Lesnar chose to laugh off the botch and the backstage atmosphere after the botched entrance was calm.
“Everyone was quite chill about it. I think Brock himself said it. He walked through the curtains and he had slipped on something… Drew said in his entrance he almost slipped. So I don’t know if someone had wet their hair or some oil or something was out there on that entrance way.”
Reed stated that if that kind of botch had happened to anyone else, it would have likely killed any momentum they had, but due to Lesnar’s star power, he was able to turn the negative into a positive.
“If that was someone else and they slipped, they’d probably fall on their ass and that’d be it. People wouldn’t engage anymore from there… But because it’s Brock Lesnar, he almost back-rolled and got straight back to his feet, took his cowboy hat off, and you knew, ‘Oh, he’s still going to beat the hell out of people.’”
When Is Brock Lesnar’s Next WWE Match?
Brock Lesnar is scheduled to compete in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series on Saturday, November 29. Lesnar will team with Bron Breakker, Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre to take on the team of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy and Jey Uso.
This will only be Lesnar’s second match of the year, as he last faced John Cena at Wrestlepalooza on September 20.
