The mystery attacker aligned with The Vision has been revealed to be Austin Theory.
During the main event of WWE Raw, the masked assailant struck again, stomping Rey Mysterio and allowing Logan Paul to follow up with a frog splash to secure the victory. After the match, Paul and the attacker shared a brief staredown before CM Punk charged the ring with a chair, forcing the mystery man to retreat into the crowd.
It was there that the attacker finally unmasked, revealing himself as Austin Theory, now sporting a shaved head.
As Punk processed what had just happened, Bron Breakker stormed the ring and speared him, issuing a warning for Punk to never speak about his family again, a direct response to Punk’s earlier promo. Breakker then stood tall, holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, closing the show ahead of his title match against Punk on January 5.
Theory had been absent from WWE television since July, when his former tag team partner Grayson Waller abandoned him to align with The New Day. Speculation around the masked man began at Survivor Series, where an unidentified attacker helped The Vision secure victory in the Men’s WarGames match.
In the weeks that followed, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce repeatedly pressed Paul Heyman for answers regarding the attacker’s identity, with Heyman consistently claiming ignorance. Earlier in the night, Pearce demanded that Heyman provide answers by the end of Raw, setting the stage for the revelation.
Theory’s return places him firmly back in the centre of a major storyline, aligning with The Vision at a pivotal moment as tensions continue to escalate heading into the new year.
When Did Austin Theory Sign With WWE?
Austin Theory signed with WWE in 2019 after first participating in a tryout in February 2018. Theory joined the NXT brand upon his debut and remained there until his main roster debut in 2021.
Theory was given a major push upon his main roster debut, winning the 2022 Money in the Bank briefcase and capturing the United States Title on two occasions.
