Athena isn’t satisfied being the longest reigning champion in Ring of Honor history.
The ROH Women’s World Champion told the Dallas Morning News she wants more.
“I want to be AEW women’s champion. I want to be AEW TBS champion. I want to be an AEW tag champion to show the world that everything that I’ve done, holding a whole company on my back, climbing to the top of the mountain with it, was all worth it,” she said.
Athena is ready to turn AEW into “Athena Elite Wrestling” as AEW is in her home state, the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen for a double taping of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision this week. She is advertised and scheduled to make appearance in some way.
“It’s time to reset. It’s time to get down and nitty gritty, and it’s time for me to be more selfish,” Athena said. “I feel like I give back so much, my emotion, my training. I feel like it’s time to get back to what I need to do for me, and it starts in Allen.”
Athena is also the co-owner of Metroplex Wrestling which is based in Bedford, Texas.
