“This outcome is the result of our detectives working nonstop on this case,” Police Chief Tracy Avelar told ABC7 Eyewitness News. “We appreciate the patience of our community as we worked through a rapidly evolving investigation, and I’m proud of the work done to keep the community safe.”
The community held a vigil for both Evan and Lori over the weekend.
“James has been a very positive, amazing guy, always a very hard worker, he is very enthusiastic,” said Cindy “S.C.” Gonzalez to NBC News. She went to the same wrestling school. “They always spend time together, even when he does shows, his family was always in the audience to support.”
A GoFundMe campaign has been set-up by James’ sister to cover the funeral costs.
