Andrade will be part of a huge 10-man tag team match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20.
In recent days, Andrade El Idolo has become active again after a no-compete clause in his WWE contract led to him being pulled from AEW and other scheduled appearances. El Idolo’s latest appearance saw him announce his return to NJPW after a 10-year absence.
At Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th, the Unaffiliated’s Hiromu Takahashi and Shingo Takagi will team up with the Bullet Club War Dogs in a 10-man tag team match against United Empire and two mystery partners.
In Korakuen Hall, on the last stop on the Road to the Tokyo Dome, the two groups clashed in a six-man tag, with Callum Newman getting the win for UE. After the match, he gave his opponents a “Christmas present”, announcing the identity of one of United Empire’s mystery partners, Andrade El Idolo. The former WWE and AEW star appeared on a video screen to make his return official.
“Konnichiwa Nihon, my name is Andrade El Idolo. La Sombra is back in Japan.
“I am not going to see Tanahashi. I have business all over the world, but in Japan, I have a very good business with my friends, mis amigos, mi socios, of the United Empire. Amigos, see you at the Wrestle Kingdom.”
