Andrade has addressed reports that he “walked out” of a wrestling event in Mexico.
Dave Meltzer reported that Andrade El Idolo “walked out” of a wrestling show in Mexico after an autograph signing, stating that El Idolo was reportedly “unhappy” with something that transpired at the event. Meltzer said that it had nothing to do with his non-compete clause that stopped him from wrestling for AEW, as that only applies in the United States and not in Mexico.
El Idolo responded to these accusations that he walked out of the show on Twitter, denying them while also joking that he’d left to go to a popular Tijuana gentlemen’s club called Hong Kong Gentlemen’s Club.

How Long Is Andrade’s WWE Non-Compete Clause
It has been reported that Andrade’s WWE non-compete clause, which came into effect when he was fired from the company in September, is for one year. The one-year clauses are apparently a new contract clause brought in when WWE formed with Endeavor to become TKO Group Holdings, as previously, WWE’s non-compete clauses were for 90 days.
The one-year clauses, apparently, are only used in cases where a talent’s contract is terminated prematurely due to contract violations or wellness policy breaches, and it was stated that WWE released El Idolo for numerous wellness policy violations.
