Alexa Bliss has provided a positive update on the arm injury she suffered earlier this month, revealing she hopes to be back in action within the next few weeks.
The former WWE Women’s Champion was written off television on the July 10 episode of WWE SmackDown when Jade Cargill attacked her after their match, trapping Alexa Bliss’ arm in a steel chair before slamming it shut. Bliss later shared a photo on social media showing significant bruising and has since been seen wearing an arm brace.
Speaking on ESPN Vibe Check, Bliss explained the extent of the injury and offered an optimistic recovery timeline.
“Jade got me. She bent my elbow backward with a chair, which is fine because I have bendy elbows, but it went a little too far and when she slammed the chair, I think there is a bone chip and this ligament is a little overstretched. It’s sore, but it’s more of an inconvenience with how bulky [the brace] is. It’s keeping things in place, it’s healing fast, and I’m hoping it’s just a couple of weeks and we’re good.”
WWE Has Not Provided A Timeline For Alexa Bliss’ Return From Injury
While Alexa Bliss is hopeful she will not be sidelined for much longer, WWE has yet to provide an official timetable for her return to the ring. She remains out of action as she continues her recovery.
