Alberto Del Rio is in the news again but for all the wrong reasons.
The former WWE and AAA star participated in Ring Royal 2026, a celebrity/influencer boxing event held in Mexico and organized by Mexican TV personality and promoter Poncho de Nigris.
Del Rio faced Jesús “Chuy” Almada, fitness influencer, social media creator and boxer.
During the second round, Del Rio appeared to be very tired and irritated. Del Rio made a gesture and someone from his team entered the ring.
That sparked a brawl between both teams. Del Rio and Almada, stayed out of things until Del Rio tossed off his boxing gloves and joined the fight.

Despite the brawl, Almada was judged the winner of the fight. Some have speculated that the brawl was staged in some way.
Last year, Del Rio lost to El Mesías in AAA and was forced to leave the promotion.
