AJPW announced that they have suspended a former two-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion after they were involved in a car crash last week.
AJPW announced that two-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Yuma Aoyagi has been suspended after causing a car accident on November 23. The official statement stated that the incident occurred in Numazu City and that while nobody involved was seriously hurt, the other person involved was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.
All Japan also wrote that Aoyagi was driving with an expired licence, and that his salary will be halved for, and he will be suspended from in-ring competition for three months. They also said that they will be implementing safe driving initiatives within the company to prevent any similar occurrences.
Aoyagi also took to Twitter following the announcement to apologise for what he has done.

When Did Yuma Aoyagi Win The AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Title?
Yuma Aoyagi first won the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship on July 2, 2023, defeating Yuji Nagata at the Summer Action Series. He held the title for 126 days and defended it five times before losing it to Katsuhiko Nakajima on November 5 at the 2023 Giant Series in Hokkaido.
Aoyagi won the title a second time on August 17, 2024, at that year’s Summer Action Wars, defeating Yuma Anzai for the title. His second reign lasted 79 days before he lost the belt to Davey Boy Smith Jr. at the 2024 Giant Series in November.
