AJ Styles is set to be honoured on next week’s episode of WWE Raw following the shocking retirement stipulation loss at the Royal Rumble.
A major tribute has been announced for next week’s episode of Raw, just weeks after one of WWE’s biggest stars was forced into retirement. WWE confirmed that the February 23 show in Atlanta will feature a tribute to AJ Styles. The segment follows his loss to Gunther at the Royal Rumble, where a retirement stipulation was in place.
Next week’s Raw will also feature two Elimination Chamber qualifying matches. Raquel Rodriguez is set to face Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane, while Bronson Reed will battle Jey Uso and the Original El Grande Americano.
In addition, Brock Lesnar has been advertised for the show, marking his first appearance since being eliminated at the Royal Rumble.
Could AJ Styles Wrestle Again?
Despite the stipulation at the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles’ long-term future remains unclear. Reports following the Royal Rumble suggested that he and WWE had been in talks over a new contract, but the deal was not finalised before the match with Gunther took place. In a recent interview with Stephanie McMahon, Styles also left the door open to wrestling again, even mentioning the possibility of teaming with one of his children in the future.
