AJ Styles has asked why Bron Breakker isn’t being pushed “to the moon” by WWE.
Ever since Bron Breakker permanently moved to the main WWE roster in 2024, it has been clear that he is destined to become one of the top stars in the company. However, WWE has so far resisted pulling the trigger on a World Title reign for the star, and even decided against him winning the 2026 Royal Rumble.
On the latest edition of his Phenomenally Retro podcast, AJ Styles was critical of the company for not pushing Breakker further and faster ahead of SummerSlam.
“How long are we going to wait for Bron Breakker to be heavyweight champion?
“He should be next. I think that he’s definitely a star right now, Why we haven’t put it on him to put the rocket up his butt and send him to the freaking moon? I don’t know why we haven’t done that because he is the destroyer. Yeah well, he had to get a surgery done or, I believe he had a hernia or something.
“The fact he was out and now he’s back and he’s even scarier than before. Like let’s go, let’s freaking do this because we all know that it’s all about the chase. The babyface chasing the heel, Bron Breakker is the heel. The Vision’s actually coming back together, they’re healing up and they’re coming back together.
“So, let’s see what we can do with those guys next. I’m not saying you got to split them up, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m just saying, I think I’d like to see Bron as a heavyweight champion, but he’s not in a heavyweight championship match at SummerSlam.”
Bron Breakker Was Slated To Win 2026 Royal Rumble
In season 3 of WWE Unreal, it has been revealed that Bron Breakker was set to win the 2026 Royal Rumble and potentially go on to defeat CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.
However, those plans were abandoned when Seth Rollins injured his shoulder, and WWE opted to have Roman Reigns in the main event instead. In the documentary series, Triple H also explained that he didn’t want fans to think Bron Breakker was being “shoved down their throats,” as that sentiment dogged Reigns’ time in the main event scene for several years.
