AJ Lee has made it clear she is not a fan of celebrity involvement in wrestling, despite WWE’s long history of crossover appearances.
Speaking on Complex’s GOAT Talk, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion was asked which celebrity she would like to see step into the ring. AJ Lee dismissed the idea outright, jokingly responding:
“No one!”
However, CM Punk offered a different perspective, pointing to Bad Bunny as a standout example of how celebrity involvement can work.
“Bad Bunny was a spectacular pro wrestler,” Punk said. “This is the biggest, most recognised global pop star in the world, and he’s a fan, and he doesn’t want to just come and goof around. He took it seriously and did it.”
AJ Lee Agreed With CM Punk About Bad Bunny Being A Good Example Of Celebrities In Wrestling
AJ Lee ultimately agreed with that assessment, backing Bad Bunny while maintaining her stance against most celebrity crossovers.
“I have to support Bad Bunny, but other than Bad Bunny, my answer remains no one,” she said.
Bad Bunny previously competed at WrestleMania 37 alongside Damian Priest, later entering the Royal Rumble in 2022 and facing Priest in a San Juan Street Fight in 2023, earning praise for his in-ring commitment.
