Former WWE inaugural NIL talent AJ Ferrari has been arrested by police.
Police in Douglas County were watching a home in the area after being tipped off. They spotted a woman starting up a vehicle and a male crawling out of a garage into the truck.
Police followed the truck, pulled it over, identified Ferrari and arrested him.
Ferrari is charged with Assault by Strangulation/Suffocation of a Pregnant Woman, 3rd Degree, Domestic Violence Assault 3rd Degree and False Imprisonment 1st Degree.
The charges stem from an incident in an incident in Lincoln, Nebraska. Police there claim that Ferrari assaulted a pregnant woman and then fled the scene. Authorities say Ferrari dragged a pregnant woman off a bed during an argument and then strangling her. Ferrari wouldn’t let her go until she apologized. When the woman tried to leave the apartment he dragged her back and cut off her call to her mother. The woman was treated at hospital with what police believe are strangulation injuries.
In June of this year, Ferrari was arrested in Lincoln County on suspicion of flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving and obstructing the police.
In 2022, Ferrari was charged with sexual assault but the charges were dropped.
WWE cut ties with Ferrari after his 2022 legal troubles and departure from Oklahoma State’s wrestling program.
