The AEW Women’s World Title is officially on the line at Full Gear on November 22.
Following Mercedes Mone’s disastrous 12 title celebration on last night’s AEW Dynamite, where Kris Statlander left Mone lying covered in cake after being put through a table, Renee Paquette spoke with Statlander backstage, where she accepted Mone’s challenge for her AEW Women’s World Championship that Mone issued at WrestleDream.
Mone issued the challenge after Statlander was celebrating her successful title defence over Toni Storm at the pay-per-view by interrupting Statlander’s celebrations and telling her to get out of the ring.
Mone and Statlander have faced each other in singles bouts two times already, the first taking place at last year’s Full Gear, where Mone successfully defended her TBS Title against Statlander, and they faced each other the following month at Worlds End in a repeat of their Full Gear title match, again with Mone leaving as the victor. Both matches were very well received by fans and critics alike.
AEW Full Gear 2025 Line Up
The card for Full Gear is yet to be finalised, and there are currently only two matches confirmed to be taking place on November 22 in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The card, as it stands, is as follows:
- “Big Boom!” A.J. and TBA vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Terent Beretta)
- Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s World Championship
In recent news, Mercedes Mone is reportedly charging $25,000 per independent wrestling appearance.
In other news, two matches on the October 29, 2025, episode of Dynamite will determine two title contenders for matches at Full Gear.
