An AEW star’s independent wrestling promotion made history by breaking the record for the longest match ever.
Mystery Wrestling made history on June 22 after its 2026 Infinite Rumble lasted nearly 22 hours, setting a new endurance record for the Canadian independent promotion. The marathon match ran for an incredible 21 hours, 58 minutes and 49 seconds, surpassing last year’s event, which lasted 21 hours, 49 minutes and 12 seconds. While the achievement has yet to receive official recognition from Guinness World Records, it has established a new milestone for the promotion founded by AEW star Evil Uno.
The event also served as a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society through the Fighting Back: Wrestling with Cancer initiative, which honours the memory of independent wrestler Phrank Morin, who died from cancer at the age of 23. By the conclusion of the show, more than $34,000 CAD had been raised for the charity.
Former AEW Star Lasted Five Hours In The Infinite Rumble
Former AEW star Stu Grayson entered the Infinite Rumble at number one and lasted five hours before being eliminated, while Evil Uno both competed in the match and spent much of the event providing commentary on the livestream.
A total of 243 entrants took part in the contest, with the field featuring an eclectic mix of wrestlers and comedic characters, including The Invisible Man, Batman, Ghost Face, Santa Claus, multiple Power Rangers and several Teletubbies.
After almost 22 hours of action, Cool Ref outlasted the field to win the Infinite Rumble.
Mystery Wrestling was founded by Evil Uno in 2019 and has become known for its unique concept of announcing neither matches nor competitors in advance, leaving fans to discover every surprise as the event unfolds.
