An AEW star has suffered a major injury on last night’s episode of Dynamite.
Jake Doyle suffered a serious injury during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Doyle tore his bicep while competing in a World Tag Team Championship match alongside Mark Davis against FTR. The injury appeared to occur midway through the bout when Doyle took an apron DDT from Cash Wheeler. He was seen clutching his arm and was heard calling out in pain as the match continued.
Jake Something appears to have suffered a legit injury during this spot tonight.
You can hear him tell Cash, “I just tore my bicep"
Best wishes to him.https://t.co/z1AEwllmpw

While the exact moment of the injury has not been officially confirmed, the damage seemed to happen as Doyle held onto the top rope while landing on the apron, with the added strain likely causing the tear.
At the time of writing, AEW has not issued an official statement on Doyle’s condition, and there is no timetable for his return. A torn bicep typically requires surgery and can sideline a wrestler for three to six months, depending on the severity of the injury and recovery process.
When Did Jake Doyle Join AEW?
Jake Doyle, who previously wrestled as Jake Something in TNA Wrestling, only joined AEW in recent weeks, signing a contract on January 7, and was quickly aligned with the Don Callis Family in a new tag team with Davis. His injury comes just as the pairing was beginning to establish itself on AEW television.
Doyle started wrestling in 2010, after completing his training at the ROH Dojo in Baltimore, Maryland, and began working on the independents until he joined TNA in 2017.
