An AEW star has spoken about how they have recently undergone their fourth surgery of 2026.
Luchasaurus has revealed that he recently underwent his fourth surgery of the year as he continues working towards an in-ring return. The former TNT Champion has made brief appearances on AEW television in recent months but has yet to wrestle in 2026. His most recent match came at AEW Worlds End in December, when Jurassic Express competed in an eight-man tag team match.
Speaking with KFS Spotlight, Luchasaurus confirmed that he will not be at All In at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 30, and will instead watch the event from home while recovering.
“I’ll be watching (the PPV) from home because I just had my fourth surgery of the year. I’ll be home nursing two shoulders, a left meniscus, and a right elbow. I am on the path to return,” he said.
Luchasaurus Provides Update On AEW Return
Luchasaurus also provided a potential timetable for his comeback, explaining that surgery to repair his rotator cuffs requires a recovery period that cannot be accelerated.
“I had to get my rotator cuffs fixed, and they are tendons. With a tendon, there is a specific timetable that you can’t beat no matter what, and that’s six months,” he said.
The AEW star revealed that he underwent surgery on one shoulder in February before having the other operated on in April. Luchasaurus hopes that, if his recovery continues as planned, he will be cleared toward the end of October to begin considering next steps toward returning to the ring.
“Around the end of October, as long as it all heals right, I’ll be cleared to start exploring what a comeback looks like,” he said.
While there is currently no confirmed date for his in-ring return, Luchasaurus said he remains “on the path to return” following four surgeries this year.
