A ladder match will decide the future of a major title at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
A ladder match will determine the future of the TNT Championship at AEW Grand Slam Australia. Kyle Fletcher will defend the title against Mark Briscoe at the February 14 event after the two agreed to the stipulation on Dynamite. Fletcher regained the TNT Championship earlier in the night by defeating Tommaso Ciampa, then took to the microphone and said he would defend the title against anyone at the Australia show.
Briscoe quickly answered the challenge, noting that the two were tied at 3–3 in their unofficial series and that they needed a deciding “Game seven.” Fletcher accepted, but added that the match would take place under ladder match rules, telling Briscoe he would have to “reach for the sky” to win the title. Briscoe agreed to the stipulation, making the bout official.
The ladder match adds another title contest to the Grand Slam Australia card, which is set to feature multiple championship bouts and high-stakes matches across the show.
