AEW has been forced to cancel this Saturday’s Collision event.
All Elite Wrestling has been forced to change plans for this weekend’s Collision after severe weather disrupted its scheduled venue in Texas. AEW announced ahead of Wednesday night’s Dynamite that Saturday’s Collision event at Esports Stadium in Arlington has been cancelled due to an incoming winter storm expected to bring snow and ice to the region. The company has been operating out of the venue for several weeks as part of a January residency.
Despite the cancellation of the live event, Collision will still air in its usual Saturday night time slot. The episode was taped following Wednesday’s Dynamite in Orlando, ensuring no disruption to its broadcast schedule. At this stage, it remains unclear when the decision to relocate the taping was made or whether any originally planned matches for the Arlington show were affected.
In addition, AEW announced a new match for the upcoming episode. Andrade El Idolo is set to return to action as part of his second run with the company, facing Magnus from CMLL. The bout will mark another appearance for Andrade since rejoining the company earlier this year.
