The results for last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite are in.
Christian Cage and Adam Copeland retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship, Kenny Omega accepted his next title challenge, and Mercedes Mone stood tall in the main event as last night’s AEW Dynamite continued the build towards Redemption and All In.
The show opened with Christian Cage and Copeland successfully defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia. After surviving a sustained assault from the challengers, Copeland connected with a spear on Yuta to secure the victory. The celebration was short-lived as David Finlay, Clark Connors and Claudio Castagnoli attacked the champions before the Bang Bang Gang rushed out to even the odds. Jay White also made a surprise appearance, confronting Finlay before tensions briefly flared with Christian Cage.
Backstage, Andrade El Idolo revealed he had obtained MJF‘s Dynamite Diamond Ring with help from Will Ospreay. Andrade later defeated Jake Doyle, overcoming the larger opponent with The Message, before Mark Davis confronted him after the match.
The new AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, then addressed the crowd after being presented with the original AEW World Championship by The Young Bucks. Omega reflected on returning to the top of AEW after more than 1,000 days and vowed fans would see the best version of him heading into All In.
Will Ospreay interrupted to congratulate Omega and praised the champion’s resilience before looking ahead to their eventual meeting. However, Kevin Knight soon arrived to remind Omega that he was owed an opportunity for the AEW World Championship. Omega accepted the challenge for Redemption while urging Knight to step away from Don Callis‘ influence. Knight rejected the advice before attacking the champion, leading to Darby Allin joining the fight as members of the Don Callis Family and the Death Riders converged around the ring.
Brody King and Bandido picked up a dominant victory over Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto, with Bandido pinning both men simultaneously following a spectacular top-rope splash.
Later in the evening, Kyle Fletcher retained the AEW International Championship against Komander in an athletic contest. Komander came close to victory after a breathtaking top-rope Canadian Destroyer, but Fletcher survived before ending the match with a Brainbuster. Konosuke Takeshita confronted Fletcher after the bell before Kazuchika Okada attacked Takeshita, only for Brody King and Bandido to chase the pair away.
Jericho also announced he would revive his Painmaker persona for his upcoming match against Tommaso Ciampa at Redemption. Ciampa responded by accepting the challenge and revealed he will issue an open challenge on this Saturday’s Collision.
Darby Allin continued his winning form later in the night, defeating Brian Cage after connecting with back-to-back Coffin Drops despite enduring a physical battle with the powerhouse.
In the main event, Mercedes Mone teamed with Megan Bayne and Lena Kross to defeat Willow Nightingale, Hyan and Maya World. The fast-paced six-woman tag saw momentum swing repeatedly before Mone finished Hyan with the Mone Maker. After the match, Mone declared that it did not matter whether Thekla or Willow Nightingale left Redemption as AEW Women’s World Champion, insisting she would be waiting with her guaranteed title opportunity at All In.
