AEW Dynamite drew its lowest Wednesday audience to date with its New Year’s Eve edition on TBS.
The December 31 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 398,000 viewers, a decline of 22.2% from the most recent episode to air in Dynamite’s regular Wednesday time slot two weeks earlier. While the show has posted lower numbers in the past, those instances occurred when Dynamite was moved to Tuesdays, making this the smallest audience for a Wednesday broadcast in the show’s history.
In the key 18–49 demographic, Dynamite recorded a 0.07 rating, down 12.5% from the December 17 episode. That figure ties the lowest rating the programme has achieved in the demo, regardless of the night or time slot in which it aired.
Viewership data is still not available for the Christmas Eve edition of Dynamite.
When compared to the same week in 2024 and using Nielsen’s previous ratings reporting methodology, overall viewership declined by 32.3%, while the 18–49 rating fell by 56.3%. It should be noted that current figures do not include viewers watching on HBO Max.
Based on the last ten weeks of available data, excluding the unavailable December 24 numbers, the New Year’s Eve episode performed well below recent averages. Overall viewership was down 21.4%, while the 18–49 rating dropped by 30% compared to the nine-week average.
Full audience and demographic figures for the Christmas Eve broadcast are expected to be released at a later date.
