A newly crowned AEW champion was officially confirmed as All Elite moments after capturing gold at Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
Following the victory, an “All Elite” graphic appeared on the video screen during the in-ring celebration, confirming that Mistico has signed with All Elite Wrestling. The announcement came shortly after he teamed with Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey to win the AEW World Trios Championships.
The trio captured the titles by defeating Mark Davis, Kyle Fletcher, and Kazuchika Okada at Revolution. As the celebration continued in the ring, the graphic was displayed, leaving Mistico visibly emotional.
AEW President Tony Khan has previously spoken highly of the veteran luchador, once describing him as one of his favourite wrestlers of all time.
Mistico’s CMLL Title Wins Before His AEW Title Victory
Mistico has long been a central figure in CMLL, one of AEW’s partner promotions. The 43-year-old enjoyed a standout year in 2025, earning the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Wrestler of the Year award. He is also currently CMLL’s Light Heavyweight Champion and holds the promotion’s Trios Championship alongside Neon and Mascara Dorada, the latter of whom is also under an AEW contract.
The luchador first debuted in AEW in October 2023 and has competed in 16 matches for the promotion, including the Revolution title win. He has also appeared six times for Ring of Honor, which is owned by Khan.
