AEW’s broadcast of the Grand Slam Australia edition of Collision pulled in better than usual numbers. It scored 561,000 overnight viewers, with a 0.10 in the key demos. Last week’s show scored 388,000 overnight viewers and 0.07 in the key demos. That’s an increase of 44.6% in viewers and 42.9% in the key demos. In the main event, Brody King challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship.
Conversely, the Smackdown audience dropped from 1,459,000 viewers last week to 1,042,000 this week and a demo of 0.35 to 0.26.
Former WWE wrestler, Gable Steveson will take on Hugo Lezama at MFL 3 tonight. The main event will be broadcast live and free worldwide on the official Mexico Fight League YouTube channel.
Trish Stratus commented on the WWE news that they would be holding a PLE in Italy with: “No but why do I suddenly feel like dusting off this ring rust.”
