An update has been provided on the list of injuries following both AEW Blood & Guts matches on Wednesday’s special episode of Dynamite.
AEW hosted its annual Blood & Guts special edition of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, and the 2025 edition featured the first-ever women’s version of the match which opened the show, where Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne, Mercedes Mone, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla defeated the team of Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander, Mina Shirakawa, Toni Storm, and Willow Nightingale.
The men’s Blood & Guts match was the main event and saw the team of Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, and Orange Cassidy defeat the Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta.
AEW Blood & Guts 2025 Injuries
Now, speaking on Wrestling Observer Live yesterday, Bryan Alvarez has provided an update on the injury fallout from both Blood & Guts matches. Unsurprisingly, due to the violent nature of the Blood & Guts match type, there have been a few injuries from the event.
Jamie Hayter has reportedly suffered a number of facial and tooth-related injuries in the women’s match, with Alvarez stating that her teeth are “all messed up”. Alvarez said that despite Darby Allin being thrown through a flaming table during the men’s match, and could be seen rolling around on the floor with fire on his back afterwards, he is fine.
Powerhouse Hobbs, who did not compete in a Blood & Guts match but did wrestle “Hangman” Adam Page in a Falls Count Anywhere match on the show, took a hard bump on his tailbone during his bout, but is fine apart from some bruising.
