AEW wasted little time in setting the table for next week’s television, announcing multiple championship matches immediately after the January 21 edition of AEW Dynamite went off the air.
One of the headline bouts came together following a heated response from Thekla, who addressed the growing tension between herself and Kris Statlander. Thekla accused Statlander of handing out title opportunities to everyone else while overlooking her, delivering a pointed rant that quickly escalated the situation. Within moments, it was confirmed that Statlander will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla on next week’s show.
Another title will also be on the line, as Mark Briscoe is set to defend the TNT Championship against El Clon. That match was locked in after the company was forced to cancel the January 24 episode of Collision due to a winter storm. Collision will now be taped following the January 21 Dynamite broadcast, prompting the title defence to be shifted to Wednesday night.
Tag team gold will also be at stake on the January 28, 2026, episode of Dynamite, with FTR defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Jake Doyle and Mark Davis.
Which AEW Titles Will Be On The Line On Saturday’s Collision?
With Saturday’s Collision having been taped immediately following Dynamite last night, we know the full match card for the show, and the two titles that will be on the line when the show airs on tape delay on Saturday.
The two titles that are on the line will be Willow Nightingale’s TBS Title, as she defends against Julia Hart. The other championship on the line is the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, with champion Claudio Castagnoli defending against Roderick Strong.
