The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match for AEW All In: London has officially been confirmed following Wednesday’s Grand Slam: Mexico.
During the show, Willow Nightingale teamed with Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, collectively known as The Brawling Birds, to defeat AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion and Mercedes Moné. Nightingale secured the victory by pinning Moné, after which it was announced that Hayter and Windsor will challenge Megan Bayne and Lena Kross for the championships at All In on August 30.
Divine Dominion have been unbeaten as a team since joining forces, compiling a 15-0 record. Bayne and Kross captured the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship from Nightingale and Harley Cameron at Revolution in March and have successfully defended the titles six times.
However, they have yet to face The Brawling Birds, who have also remained undefeated since forming their partnership earlier this year. Hayter and Windsor enter the title match with an 8-0 record as a team.
AEW All In: London Will See Numerous Major Title Bouts
The championship bout joins an already stacked card for AEW’s biggest event of the year at Wembley Stadium. Other announced matches include Kenny Omega defending the World Championship against Will Ospreay, Willow Nightingale putting the Women’s World Championship on the line against Mercedes Moné, and Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defending the World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks.
A Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match has also been announced for the event.
