AEW has announced that AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will take place on June 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The annual crossover event will feature talent from AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, CMLL and STARDOM, airing live on pay-per-view and HBO Max. Tickets go on sale April 27, with presale access available through AEW Insider registration.
Minute Maid and WWE have renewed their partnership in a multi-year deal, continuing Minute Maid as WWE’s Official Juice Partner. Wendy Choo has won the WWE EVOLVE Women’s Championship, capturing the vacant title by outlasting seven other competitors in an Eliminator Gauntlet match on EVOLVE. The championship had been vacant since Kendal Grey relinquished it after moving to NXT. Choo’s victory marks her first reign and completes a long chase for the title, having previously fallen short in both the inaugural championship match and a later title challenge.
Joe Jonas will open night two of WrestleMania 42 by performing the National Anthem, WWE has announced. The performance continues WrestleMania’s tradition of featuring high-profile artists to begin the show, adding another celebrity name to this year’s event, which is headlined by Roman Reigns challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
