The NWA has announced that the 2026 NWA Crockett Cup Tournament kicksoff Feb. 21 in Tampa, FL.
Tickets are available now at NWALiveEvents.com.
This marks the 40th anniversary of the inaugural 1986 tag team tournament and opening rounds are scheduled for NWA’s double tapings of NWA POWERRRR Tampa’s WEDU PBS Studios. Tournament matches will take place at both the 2PM and 7PM shows.
The first entrants in the 2026 Cup are reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions The Immortals. Odinson and Kratos won the 2025 Crockett Cup defeating The Colôns (Primo and Epico) in the tournament finals.
New teams will be announced daily via NWA’s social media.
Details about the tournament finals will be announced later this month. As with tickets for the opening round, they will be immediately available at NWALiveEvents.com.
The first-ever NWA Crockett Cup was won by Animal and Hawk, The Road Warriors. Subsequently Dusty Rhodes and Nikita Koloff (The Super Powers) won in 1987 and Sting & Lex Luger took the trophy in 1988.
The Crockett Cup Tournament was revived in the modern Lightning One Era of the National Wrestling Alliance, under NWA President and Owner William Patrick Corgan. Villain Enterprises (PCO and Brody King) were crowned in 2019.
Since then, the Cup has been won by greats and future greats alike, many of whom have gone on to capture NWA gold. The Briscoes (Mark and Jay) won in 2022, followed by Knox & Murdoch, The Southern Six (Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) and, most recently, The Immortals.
