Saraya is a free agent and wants the world to know that especially with WWE holding Evolution this weekend.
“I could pop up anywhere. No, my contract’s done, done. That’s the one thing that helped, they gave me the opportunity to walk away from this contract. I mean, not a lot of companies or businesses would do that, you know? But Tony [Khan] was really, really great about it,” Saraya told The Orlando Sentinel.
The interview took place on June 17th and at that time Saraya had this to say about talks with WWE: “I haven’t had a conversation with them. I know, I always get tagged in everything, as soon as there’s a mystery going around, they’re like, ‘Hey, she’s coming back.’ But no. I love the WWE, but no.”
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet she explained why she left AEW.
“It got to a point, I loved my time there I really did, but there was nothing really much for me to do. When I was there all I wanted to do was help elevate the division. So I’m like, ‘I’ll eat a pin here and there, I’ll do it, whatever someone needs.’ I don’t think there was much room for me there. You have big stars there and I just decided that this is probably the perfect time for me to take a step back because the only thing left for me to do there would be to wrestle Mercedes but she already had stuff lined up all the way up until All In that they’re about to do.” she said.
Saraya is thankful for the support and love from her fans.
“It feels good to take a little break from wrestling and then see the outpouring of love from people saying they want me back. I just want to get my feet wet outside of wrestling for a little bit and take care of myself this year. It’s consumed me my whole life. All 32 years of my life has been wrestling so I just want to find myself a little bit outside it and next year, maybe come back,” she said.
