It’s been a while since we caught up to Blake “Bulletproof” Troop, but regardless of where he is, he’s still dropping warheads on people’s foreheads. Doesn’t matter if it’s MMA or in the squared circle; the result is the same, and he’s still hungry for more opportunities.
Slamwrestling.net met up with Troop during the National Wrestling Alliance’s Crockett Cup Signature live event in Forney, TX, and it turns out he wasn’t too far away to meet up for a quick interview.
“Yeah, I’ve been at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling since January of last year,” he said, almost nonchalantly.
Reality of Wrestling is a developmental territory for WWE and a training school for up-and-coming wrestlers in the Houston, TX, area. We asked Troop, while he was down there, what sorts of things Booker preaches to his students.
“Wrestling for television as opposed to wrestling for a local crowd,” Troop said, “and improvisational wrestling. A lot of wrestling on the fly.”
He explained that Reality holds wrestling matches similar to those WWE holds at its Performance Center in the Orlando, FL, area, and Booker is there every Thursday to critique their work in the ring. Troop gave an example of what he and another student did the last time.

“My last match on Thursday, me and another guy got in the ring. We didn’t know who’s gonna [be] heel or face,” he said. “I was like, ‘Let’s just work.’ And I was bigger than he was, so I just immediately started saying heel things. We just picked up and ran from there, and I think being able to work on the fly and understand how to work for television are two of the biggest things that I picked up from Booker T at Reality of Wrestling.”
He also noted he is still doing MMA and talked about his last match in July of 2025, when he went to Japan for the promotion K-1 Worldwide. “I was the first [American] mixed martial arts fighter at K-1 in 20 years since Brock Lesnar fought,” Troop proudly noted.
He described how his last fight went against Sina Karimian, dubbed “The Hero of Iran.”
“I was whooping on him, and he scratched me in the eye while the doctors were looking at my eye. He ran over talking smack, and I thought he was running up on me, so I swung on him.”
That fight is still up on K-1’s YouTube channel, and you can see around the 17-minute mark how that came to be.
As for the official result, that has some interesting ramifications as well. “Officially, it’s a no-contest, but it took them two weeks even to decide how to do it,” Troop said. “But I’ve been looking for that rematch. But Sina Karimian appears to be terrified of me. He won’t even respond to anything I say now, because he knows if he does, he’s going to find himself in a rematch with me, and that is a place that does not want to be inside the K-1 ring faced off against big, bad, ‘Bulletproof’ Troop.”
He also keeps busy stateside with the Lights Out Xtreme Fighting promotion. “I’m also currently still the Lights Out XF Street Fighting Heavyweight champion. Been that for about 15 months now,” Troop said. “There are some people that I want to step inside the ring or the cage with.”
Again, it does not matter whether it’s MMA or the squared circle; Troop relishes a challenge, and he even overheard via social media that a particular wrestler he respects wanted to fight someone on the indy scene during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas.
“Well, when using that type of verbiage, it made me think he was talking about me,” he said, “and that was Killer Kross.”
Troop did nothing but praise the former WWE superstar. “[He’s] a guy who’s a legitimate martial artist, a [brown belt in] Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a big, tough dude, as well as a former WWE. So, I cut a promo telling him, ‘Hey, you’re looking for a tough fight. You know, someone you’ve never fought before. Well, I fit that.’”

Granted, Kross’ dance card is full as he is scheduled for a fight at Future Stars of Wrestling for their MECCA show, as he will lock up with Zilla Fatu. But Troop pointed out to us at Slamwrestling.net that it isn’t the only promotion Kross will be doing during that weekend.
“So, he announced that he had two openings, one for MECCA and one for Natural Born Killers,” he explained.
This is FSW’s other show that Kross is promoting, which would take place on April 18th at The Luxor hotel/casino. “Zilla Fatu was confirmed now for MECCA; nobody’s been confirmed yet for Natural Born Killers,” Troop added, “and I got a feeling that it’s going to be Killer Kross and me.
“Now, I think that would be a banger matchup that everybody would want to see,” Troop said, excited about the prospect. “I might not be as well known in the professional wrestling world as he is, but I’m just as well known in the mixed martial arts world, and I think that we would have an absolute banger of a fight.”
Until that match comes to fruition, you can see him at Reality of Wrestling coming up this weekend on April 11th for The Last Stand. “We have our version of the Royal Rumble going on, and I have been confirmed for that. So, I’m planning on going in there and tossing around the entire roster and coming out on top.”

You can also see him in Las Vegas as he participates in the Scientific Wrestling’s CATCHCON, where fans can see catch wrestling from May 1-3, 2026. Either way, no matter the venue or the type of combat sport, Troop wants to light up fans and turn his opponents’ lights out.
