When it comes to wrestling all over the world, The Good Brothers are as synonymous as any wrestler can be. In a recent interview with SlamWrestling.net, Luke Gallows spoke on his and Karl Anderson’s MLW debut, challenging The Skyscrapers for the MLW World Tag Team Championships.
“Bishop Dyer and Donovan Dijak. Two huge, very athletic men with a chip on their shoulders.”
“I think there’s a ton of great chemistry there. And you know, just that show, when you look at it, I’m re-familiarizing myself with the MLW product, and I think it’s just great.”
The match presents The Good Brothers with their first in-ring MLW experience but they’ve been affiliated with the promotion for some time through their podcast. They’ll rely on their extended familiarity with each other in a first-time tag match.
“I think that the advantage that we have in a scenario like this is Karl and I are so familiar with each other. We started teaming in 2013 so our chemistry together is great. I think that as big and physical as those guys are, our chemistry together and that can outshine it.”
“There’s a lot to the match. We have been in the ring with Dyer a little bit. Donovan Dijak, never.”
Despite no previous matches with Dijak, Gallows is familiar with his body of work.
“I saw him early on. I booked him for my independent promotion here in Georgia because I thought he was so good. But never been in the ring with him.”
Bishop Dyer is someone The Good Brothers have had on their minds for some time now. “Karl’s last WWE match had Bishop Dyer involved, and his shoulder was blown out in the match,” reflected Gallows.
“So there are some feelings there.”
That was a Dark match on a Sept. 20, 2024 SmackDown episode. As for Gallows, he’s not sure what type of wrestling shoes he’ll need to wear for the hard-hitting encounter.
“There aren’t a lot of guys who can throw me around in professional wrestling anymore and these are certainly two guys who can,”, Gallows said through a light chuckle. “I’m hoping that there’s a lot more Good Brothers offense than Skyscrapers offense in said match. Otherwise, I’ll have to have my flying shoes on.”
Regardless if Gallows ends up flying or not, he and Anderson will be familiar with their opponents. MLW might not even be the only place The Good Brothers surprise people.
Who knows where Gallows and Anderson will show up next? Sitting on a very unique hardback chair, Gallows mentioned that The Good Brothers will have another promotion debut in the near future but kept that a secret.
“There’s nowhere that you can say we won’t show up because we’ve done it before and we’re going everywhere.”
