He’s the Young OG but in the ring tonight he was running on ‘E’ against Oba Femi.
Je’Von Evans gave it his best shot against dominant NXT Champion Oba Femi during the main event of Heatwave.
Evans bounces his way to the ring but his ribs are taped up from his match against Trick Williams earlier this week.
As Oba charges Evans quickly moves out of the way. Oba tries to maul Evans like a bear. Evans slides of his grip and to the ropes. Oba invites Evans to come back to the middle of the ring.
The crowd chants: Young OG!
Oba steamrolls over Evans. Evans holds his ribs tight. Evans punches Oba. An angry Oba backs him to a corner but gets turned around. Evan chops at Oba. A punch knocks Oba back a few steps. Evans bounces off the ropes for a cutter. Oba halts that. He throws Evans off the ropes, over his head and smashes into him with a shoulder tackle.
Evan leaps off the top rope. Oba catches him in mid-air into a bear hug. A super kick knocks Oba on his ass. Oba is shocked. Another kick for a one count. Evans leaps off the top rope. Oba puts his knees up. Evans lands on his feet pointing and laughing at Oba. Evans double stomps him in the chest. Evans has Oba staggered with hurricanrana off the ropes and a drop kick. Oba rolls to the floor. Evans runs the ropes. Oba reaches into the ring grabbing Evans by the throat.
Oba chops Evans off the apron. Oba Gorilla Press Slams Evans over the top rope and back into the ring. Oba stands on Evans ribs then executes an abdomen breaker. A gut buster gets Oba a two count.
Evans runs the ropes and Oba spinebusters him for a two count. Oba throws Evans around the ring like a tennis ball. Evans fights back with a series of forearms off the ropes. Oba swings him into a backbreaker and a chokeslam for two. Evans throws hands again backing Oba into a corner. A big leaping clothesline off the ropes by Evans and two spin kicks for two. Evans frog splashes Oba from the top rope. Evans cannot cover. He is holding his ribs in agony.
He goes up again for another. It is another two count. Oba nails Evans with running forearms in a corner. Evans ends that with a flying cutter. Evans leaps off the top rope. Oba punches him in the face for two.
They battle on the top rope. Oba throws Evans off the ropes. He flies off colliding with the official knocking him clear out of the ring. Evans leaps back to the top rope. A hurracanrana, a standing cutter and a cutter off the ropes. The new official counts three. The first official waves that off as Oba’s foot is under the bottom rope.
The officials argue. The new official leaves at the request of the original. He explains to Evans why the pinfall doesn’t count. The crowd chants: Ref, you suck!
Evans soars off the top rope. Oba rolls out of the way. Evans crashes and burns.
The crowd chants: Bullshit!
Oba picks up Evans throws him over the top rope. Evans crashes through the announce table. Oba rolls him back into the ring for Fall From Grace and the victory.
Ricky Starks confronted Oba Femi after his title celebration to lay down a challenge for the title.

Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice – Triple Threat, NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contenders Match
Corey Graves is getting ready for Raw so he isn’t on tonight’s show. Jaida comes out with a lot of attitude as always. Love it. Three women and too much action to call. Lola is showing a little more of the booty than usual. Everyone throws hands to start things off. Parker slams them both down to the mat as the crowd cheers her on. Parker stacks them both in a corner for a cannonball. Kelani and Park trade shots on the floor. Kelani gives Parker a hurricanrana on the floor.
Parker shoves Kelani off the top rope to the floor. Parker leaps and Lola catches her in a triangle submission before Kelani splashes them both. Kelani superkicks Parker off the apron and then corkscrew splashes her on the floor.
Dragon Sleep by Lola on Kelani. Kelani flips out. Lola uses her “educated feet” on both Kelani and Parker. Hip checks from one corner to the next. Parker spinebusters Kelani then smashes her head in one corner after another. Lola initiates the Tower of Doom slam on Parker and Kelani.
All three women slug it out. Parker blocks Kelani’s finisher by putting up her knees. Kelani spins, slams Lola. Kelani’s finishing splash comes up short. Lola locks her in the Dragon Sleep again. Parker comes racing in with a Hipnotic. Lola lets go of Kelani. Parker crashes into Kelani. Lola rolls up Parker.
Winner: Lola Vice at 11 minutes and 53 seconds. Lola is now the number one contender to Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship.

The Culling has a meeting in a very, very dark room..somewhere? Tatum is upset that she let the group down in her match against Sol Ruca on last week’s NXT. Niko and Spears believe she was exceptional. She has nothing to be ashamed of. Izzy says Tatum makes each of them better. On this week’s NXT it will be Tatum and Izzy against Wren Sinclair and whatever “rando” she can find to tag with her. “If she can find someone,” laughed Tatum. Niko wants them to finish off the NQCC.

Hank and Tank (c) vs. Two members of DarkState – NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Before the bell can ring Dion Lennox attacks Hank from behind. Osiris steps up to rep DarkState as well. Hank and Tank shoulder tackle Dion down. DarkState double team Tank. All four men battle in the middle of the ring as the rest of DarkState leaps on the apron. Hank and Tank dive on all of DarkState, albeit separately. Hank bulldogs Dion in the middle of the ring but takes a forearm to the head which knocks him off the top rope to the floor. Dion puts Hank over the steps and just lets go with one haymaker after another.
Osiris smashes Hank’s head into the side of the ring over and over. Powerslam from Osiris for a two count. Dion and Osiris whip Hank into a corner. Hank almost flies over the turnbuckle to the floor. Tanks is hot-tagged. He slams and splashes Dion and Osiris. Tank knocks the other two members of DarkState into each other taking them out of the equation. Hank though gets thrown into the steel post.
Spinebuster from Dion. Double powerslam by Dion and Osiris. Tank barely kicks out. The crowd cheers for Hank and Tank. Hank is still down on the floor. Tank has to battle on his own. Tank slams Dion onto Osiris. Tank swantons both men.
Hank dodges the rogue members of DarkState. Hank dives off the tope onto three members of DarkState except Dion. Tank is pulled off the top rope and crotched on the steel post. Hank is spear in a corner by Dion. Osiris picks up Hank into the DoomsDay Device. He is pinned by Osiris.
Winners: …and new NXT Tag Team Champions…DarkState at 10 minutes and 17 seconds.

GM Ava is backstage with Lexus King. She rips into him attack Myles Born last week. She should fine and suspend him but Myles wants his revenge. “Since you took away Myles’ vision I am going to take away yours. I cannot believe I am saying this but you will face each other on Tuesday night in a Blindfold Match,” she says.
NXT No Mercy will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on September 27th. Lola Vice will get her championship match at that event.
Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Ash by Elegance – TNA Knockouts World Championship Match
Carlos Silva, the President of TNA Wrestling, is in the crowd for this one. Too much action to call so here are the high spots.
Masha and Ash blast Jayne before pummeling each other. Masha knocks Ash off the apron to the floor with a forearm smash. Jayne dives onto Ash. She comes up smiling and celebrating with Fatal Influence. Masha dives onto all of Fatal Influence.
Jacy bounces Ash from corner to corner meeting her with elbow after elbow. Masha gets distracted The Concierge and gets super kicked off the apron. Ash powerbombs Jayne for a two count. With Ash and Jayne in two separate corners Masha batters them both and almost pins them both.
Jayne cannonballs both Mash and Ash. Masha picks up Jayne slamming her into Ash who is still wiped out in a corner.
Jayne catches Masha with a running knee smash and a neckbreaker off the ropes but Ash saves the match. Jayne is almost pinned by Ash but Fatal Influence puts her leg over the ropes. The Elegance Brand and Fatal Influence argue on the floor. Jazmyn Nyx labels Ash with a punch. They are all banned by the official.
Mash slams Jayne face-first into the side of the ring. Ash dives onto them both on the floor. Ash stuns Masha with a knee smash, tornado DDT but Jayne’s knee smash gets her a two count on Masha. The crowd chants: This ref sucks!
Jayne has the pin on Masha with a Rolling Encore elbow smash. The Elegance Brand pulls Jayne off Masha. Ash pins Masha with a swanton.
Winner: …and new TNA Knockouts World Champion at 12 minutes and 2o seconds, Ash By Elegance.

Je’Von Evans and Ricky Saints chat earlier in the day. Saints wanted to check on Evans before the match. Saints knows now what The Undertaker saw in Evans. Evans says he is going to leave Heatwave as the new champion. Saints tells Evans he has the support of the WWE Universe and his as well. “I believe you are the future of NXT and WWE. The future of the NXT Championship is absolute,” say Saints. That upset Evans. Saints said he needed to hear that because he is going to beat Femi tonight.
Halloween Havoc will be on October 25th.
Jordynne Grace vs. Blake Monroe
When the bell rings, a furious Grace charges at Blake. Grace takes a shot. She stares Blake down. Grace chases Blake around the announce table. Blake tries to hide behind them. Back in the ring Grace pummels Blake. Suplex after suplex has Blake crawl out to the floor. Grace slams Blake on the floor.
Grace carries Blake up the ring steps. Blake slams Grace’s head and spine onto the steps. That turns things around for Blake punching and kicking a downed Grace. A shotgun drop kick knocks Grace to the floor. Blake pulls Grace’s arm and shoulder around the ring post. Blake puts Grace in an arm lock.
A slingblade by Blake for a two count. Grace picks up Blake while in an arm bar guillotining her over the top rope. Haymaker battler. Grace’s mouth is busted open. Short clothesline after short clothesline set up Blake for a spinebuster and a jackhammer for a two count.
Blake holds onto a turnbuckle as Grace gives her a reverse Alabama Slam. She pulls the pad off. Blake kicks out of an Electric Chair Slam. Grace charges at Blake. Blake meets her with headbutt and a knee smash. Grace stops a hurricanrana off the top rope slamming Blake to the mat for a two count.
Blake trips up Grace whose head slams into the exposed buckle the official never repaired. A stomp to the buckle and Blake hits the DDT for the win.
Winner: Blake Monroe at 13 minutes and 31 seconds.

Chelsea Green and Ethan Page vs. Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights
The crowd is cheering Chelsea’s name as Steele demands they start the match. Chelsea charges in when Steele’s back is turned. Steel gator rolls Chelsea. The crowd boos every time Steele gains the advantage. Tavion and Steele slam Page and Chelsea over the top rope to the floor.
The crowd boos and chants “Canada! Canada!”.
Steele is confused. She motions to the crowd.
Page says over the microphone: “You can cheer for Canada but we aren’t giving you citizenship!”.
As Page and Tavion take centerstage the crowd chants: We want Chelsea! Page takes over easily pounding on Tavion and smashing his head into the turnbuckle. Tavion’s flying clothesline almost takes Ethan’s head off. The crowd boos Tavion. Both men are down when they hit heads. Chelsea runs across the ring drop kicks Steele off the apron.
Chelsea is tagged back in. She goes to hit Tavion but Steele spears her. The crowd boos Steele. Steele whips Chelsea into Ethan’s “lower abdomen”. Chelsea slams Steele’s head over and over into the mat. Both women go for a body splash and go down hard.
The men are tagged in. Tavion gives Page clothesline after clothesline and a suplex. He is booed. Chelsea knees Tavion in the back to distract him. Tavion and Page kick each other in the face.
Steele tags in. She suplexes Page. The crowd boos. She clotheslines, slingblades and spinebusters Chelsea. More boos. She goes to suplex Page again. Alba Fyre grabs Page’s hand from the top rope. Alba is pulled of the ropes, she lands in Page’s arms and Steele slams them both. Steele puts Page in an ankle lock. Page isn’t legal though. Tavion takes out Page. He pummels Page in a corner. The official tries to get them out of the ring. Fyre super kicks Steele in the face. Chelsea pins Steel with UnprettyHER. The fans cheer the Canadians.
Winners: Chelsea Green and Ethan Page at 9 minutes and 41 seconds.

Oba Femi is lifting weights backstage. Josh Briggs interrupts him. Briggs thinks the grind of being a champion has worn Femi down.
“I appreciate your insignificant comments. Now leave!” growls Oba.
Briggs says he is next in line.
Sarah interviews GM Ava. Ava announces that the Speed titles are coming to NXT. Sol Ruca, the Women’s Speed Champion enters with Zaria. Ava tells Sol she will be defending her Speed title at No Mercy. Ava will be holding a match with superstars from Raw, Smackdown, AAA and TNA to determine her No Mercy opponent.
