On August 18, 2025, the Cauliflower Alley Club roasted one of the most respected and beloved figures in all of professional wrestling, Mick Foley. Those in attendance filled the Sierra Ballroom in the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada to see an “evening of laughter and legendary stories as wrestling and comedy greats take the mic to honor and roast the Hardcore Legend himself.”
The comedians advertised for the dais included roast master Bob Zany, Alonzo Bodden, Kathleen Dunbar, Chicago Steve Barkley, Frank Nicotero, Susan Jones, Frazer Smith, Todd Royce, and Matt Lund, while the wrestlers included Jake Roberts, The Godfather, Greg Valentine, B Brian Blair, Missy Hyatt, Jimmy Hart, Ricky Santana, Katie Lea, The Grappler, and The Cuban Assassin, along with the man of the hour, Mick Foley.
Everyone advertised for the evening was present on the stage, as well as some unscheduled appearances by Foley’s “illegitimate son” (played by a comedian in Mick Foley cosplay), his actual daughter Noelle Foley, and even Rip Rogers, who Foley summoned to the stage.
I’m not completely sure what can be repeated here, or what should be repeated here, that was said on stage, because it was clearly an event where the entire point was to be as mean and offensive to everyone on stage as possible, and to quote most things out of context would be to remove them from their consensual, humorous setting, but I believe there were some clear highlights of the evening.
Zany did an excellent job as roast master and MC, keeping the show moving, introducing each talent, and interjecting when needed, while receiving a fair amount of barbs, as well.
Jake Roberts and Greg Valentine each served as low hanging fruit, but Missy Hyatt might have caught the most verbal abuse, which made her turn at the mic that much more rewarding, when she finally got to turn the tables and roast those who had been roasting her.
For the comedians, Frazer Smith started off early and vicious, but Alonzo Bodden probably had the best showing, for absolutely demolishing the entire night’s affair, including those in the crowd, and being far more filthy than he’s ever allowed to be on NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me.
Jimmy Hart played nice, and one of the stranger and more memorable moments of the night occurred when Ricky Santana accidentally knocked a table off stage, resulting in a “tables” chant.
Overall, the three hour long affair was best enjoyed after some alcoholic beverages were consumed, and that’s how I took it in. Plenty of people in the room were filming with their phones, and there appeared to be a camera crew present, as well, but this was the sort of thing that’s best enjoyed live and in-person, with as little evidence as possible.
