It’s Saturday night and it’s all right for fighting. So, you know what that means?

Yes, I agree and I feel bad for ya, son. I got 99 problems, but not sure recapping All Elite Wrestling is going to be one.

We’ll find out as FTR has a main event against the hottest tag team in wrestling, The Outrunners. Can Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler prove they are still Top Guys in AEW, or will it be Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd who will take the top spot?  Plus, who is the number one contender to face Adam Cole for his TNT championship?  Daniel Garcia has laid a claim for a rematch, but Kyle Fletcher is making his case as The ProtoStar of The Don Callis Family.

We will find out later tonight as we come to you from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone have the call, and we kick things off with the TNT champion, who wants to take the crowd for Storytime with Adam Cole, Bay Bay. He smiles and notes that after 100 episodes, he says thanks to the fans, and promises the title ain’t going anywhere, and that is undisputed.

Enter the Protostar, and he offers congratulations for 100 episodes, but he says it’s due to him. He says he’s a different version and is the perfect professional wrestler, and wants a shot at the TNT belt.  Daniel Garcia has some thoughts on the matter. He needs the belt, and Cole says he’ll give him a shot and will beat him again. As for Fletcher, he has his number. He has an idea and suggests facing both. Garcia proposes that whoever wins their match tonight will face Adam Cole at All In Texas at the PPV.

The stakes are raised even higher, and we’ll see who will come out on top.

We get “Timeless” Toni Storm giving a message to Mercedes Moné ahead of their title bout at the All In Texas PPV:

This will be a match to watch harder.

Now for your First Match of the Night, and it is a three-way between…

Shelton Benjamin (with MVP) vs. “The Jet” Kevin Knight (with “Speedball” Mike Bailey) vs. Nick Wayne (with Kip Sabina and Mother Wayne)

Knight is taped up around the midsection after the events from AEW Dynamite.

Benjamin adds more pain to Knight and works over his core outside the ring as he whips him into the barricades.  He throws Knight back in, and Wayne tries to capitalize but gets a two count.  Benjamin focuses his attention on Wayne, and Knight rolls him up for a count of two.  He and Wayne kick him out, and as Wayne offers to help Knight, he baits The Jet and tackles him in the corner.  During Picture in Picture, Wayne is in control until Benjamin makes his presence known and proceeds to hurt both men in and out of the ring. Knight and Wayne get drilled by Benjamin, but he can’t get a pin.  All three go for near falls with no success.  Wayne is sent to Benjamin, and he powerbombs him right into Knight.  He is dominant in the ring until he gets sent out, and Wayne lands a somersault leg drop, and Knight follows with a crossbody.  Back in the ring, Wayne attempts a sunset flip but has no luck.  Benjamin catches Knight in the corner and cinches in an ankle lock until Wayne breaks it up, and he nails the Wayne’s World finisher.  Knight delivers with his UFO and covers Benjamin for the three count.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Kevin Knight

Last week, the camera caught up with The Death Riders.  No one in the stable had any words, except for Claudio Castagnoli.  He tells The Opps that they don’t appreciate them in their business, and he challenges them for the AEW Trios title at All In Texas.

Let’s head back to the ring with some trios action of another kind between…

Mistíco, Hologram, and Mark Briscoe vs. Hechicero and RPG Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero)

Hechicero and RPG Vice quickly take control and isolate Místico, but he is more than a match for the members of The Don Callis Family.  A tag to Briscoe, and he and Beretta come to blows as he goes at both members of RPG Vice with his Red Neck Kung Fu©.  Hologram and Místico get in the mix with stereo tope suicidas.  Briscoe sets up a chair to fly with the luchadors, but it gets knocked out by Beretta, who covers him and gets a two count.  During Picture in Picture, a Briscoe is a Chicken in Peril, and then…

Ads (Honestly, why have it at all?)

We come back, and Hologram takes it to Hechicero before RPG Vice takes over.  The evil Wizard of Lucha Libre spins Hologram around but then gets caught in a Spanish fly for a cover until Romero breaks the count.  The image of success isn’t looking good for Hologram as they triple-team him.  But he manages to escape for the hot tag to Místico, and he is en Fuego on all three men.  Briscoe is back in the mix, and he and Hologram catapult to the outside.  Místico catches Romero in La Mística, and he has no choice but to tap out.

Your Winners via Submission:  Hologram, Mark Briscoe, and Místico

On the Khan ‘Tron are MVP and MJF, and they want to talk to Briscoe ahead of their match. MJF promises he will beat Briscoe at All In Texas, as MVP talks emphasizes that it’s not personal…it’s just business.

Max Caster is here, and he still claims he’s the Best Wrestler Alive, and tries to lead a chant. He’s not happy and tries to lead “This Crowd Sucks.” Time on the clock to see who will survive the Best Wrestler Alive.

That leads to a vignette where the next contestant for this Open Invitation match will be…

Scorpio Sky (with Christopher Daniels) vs. Max Caster

Nice return after almost 600 days, and the fans give Sky a well-deserved “Wel-come back!” chant.  In any case, a TKO by Sky ends it.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Scorpio Sky

Silly Caster.  Wrestling wins aren’t for you, kid.

Backstage, Lexy Nair speaks to Ricochet and he says action speaks louder than words. He leads the camera to The Gates of Agony, who has the beaten-down figures of Blake Christian and Lee Johnson as he advises them that they need to earn his respect.

Now for women’s action between…

Willow Nightingale vs. Vipress

Yeah, I can tell the squash is in the air, so here’s your Squared Circle Clerihew™:

*ahem*

Nightingale is such a force

Against Vipress, who is getting beaten worse.

A quick match this hour,

As she gives Vipress the Babe with the Power.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Willow Nightingale

Backstage, Kris Statlander watches, and Wheeler Yuta enters the picture, but she wants nothing to do with him.

Last week, Anthony Bowens lost his match, and as Renee Paquette tried to get his reaction, in comes Billy Gunn.  He and Bowens talk about the number of losses he’s been having and wonder where Gunn was.  Gunn thought he did the right thing, but he asked the Pride of Pro Wrestling to trust him.  Bowens reluctantly scissors him as they talk about their new strategy.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, with Stokely Hathaway) vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd)

Floyd and Harwood start, but it doesn’t take long for the match to break down into a Pier Four brawl as The Outrunners send FTR out of the ring.  After a confab with Hathaway, Harwood takes  Magnum on a chase, and he and Wheeler get the upper hand.  Magnum manages to come back with head scissors takedowns.  The Outrunners slam Wheeler and get a one count.  Tag to Floyd, and Wheeler sends him to Harwood, who gives him a forearm shiver.  FTR cut the ring in half as Floyd is an Outrunner in Peril.  He tags in Magnum, and he and Floyd are lighting up like hot neon pink.  Before they can hit the double elbow drop, Wheeler pushes them off, and during Picture in Picture, FTR are giving Floyd and Magnum a world of hurt.  Magnum is bleeding from the forehead as Floyd is driven to the stairs by Wheeler.  He attempts a running dropkick that misses the mark.  He tags back Harwood, and The Axe gets kicked in the mush out of desperation.  A tag back to Magnum, and FTR nails him with a double flatliner as Wheeler covers, but he kicks out at two.  They go up the top turnbuckle, but Magnum pushes him off and lands a crossbody.  He fights out and crawls to his corner for the tag to Floyd.  FTR connects with an assisted neckbreaker but can’t put him away.  The Outrunners finally get the upper hand and connect with the double elbow drop for a count of one, two…kick out by Wheeler.  He then gets a dragon corkscrew leg whip, but The Outrunners take a page out of FTR’s playbook as they nail The Shatter Machine on Wheeler to cover, but Harwood breaks the count.  FTR shows Floyd how it’s done and The Shatter Machine allows Harwood and Wheeler the pin and the win.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  FTR

Eight Women Tag Match: Thunder Rosa, Queen Aminata, and TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay) vs. Athena, Thekla, Julia Hart (with Skye Blue), and Megan Bayne (with Penelope Ford)

Before we get into this, allow me an…

(Author’s Notes:  OK, this is similar to what I covered two weeks ago, but it looks like TK and the Booker Monkeys™ got the hint and didn’t make this another main event.  Also, I seriously think Teddy Long is the one booking these different tag variations.  However you slice it, I will cover this match as a Lucid Luchador Limerick in Review™.)

*ahem*

All eight women strut their stuff,

And they throw down with little to no fluff.

The end comes as Bayne grabs Anna Jay

And powerbombs her into yesterday,

Which, my gods, that finish looked real rough.

Your Winners: Athena, Thekla, Julia Hart, and Megan Bayne

Adam Cole joins at commentary, and it’s time for the Main Event between…

Courtesy of AEW.

Kyle Fletcher (with Don Callis and Lance Archer) vs. Daniel Garcia (with “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard)

The bell rings, and Fletcher mocks Garcia’s dance moves.  He shoves him to the corner, and Fletcher kicks him in the midsection.  He outwrestles Garcia, but he manages to get him back with a flying forearm.  Up top, Garcia gives Callis a one-finger salute before punching Fletcher and gets hit with a kick.  Garcia hits a running dropkick and goes after him outside the ring, where Fletcher connects with a running boot, and he and Callis embrace.  He stares a hole at Cole until a big boot by Garcia finds the mark, and now he gets props from Cole.  After a fist bump, Fletcher takes over and sends him to the barricade like a dart.  Garcia is busted open, and Fletcher smells the blood as he nails him with a back body drop on the apron edge.  During Picture in Picture, Fletcher is in control, and then…

Ads (Again, I ask…why have Picture in Picture if you keep doing these nonsensical things, AEW?!)

We come back, and Garcia is in the corner, mounting Fletcher and raining down with punches.  He then gets Fletcher with a guillotine choke between the ropes and then switches to a German suplex on the apron edge.  He follows with running dropkicks three times and sends Fletcher back into the squared circle.  Up the high-rent district, he gives a superplex, and Garcia covers and gets a two count.  Fletcher comes back with a powerbomb for a count of two, but Garcia comes back and wraps his legs for a Dragon Tamer.  Fletcher manages to escape, and they both tumble out of the ring.  Fletcher gives Garcia a powerbomb on the apron edge, and he collapses in a heap.  The ref starts to count Garcia out, as Cole shouts encouragement. Garcia just barely gets in the ring at the nine count, and Fletcher delivers with a brainbuster and ends it decisively in one, two, and three.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Kyle Fletcher

After the match, Fletcher eyes Cole and claims the TNT title is his by right as the show comes to a close.

AEW COLLISION 100th Episode - 07/05/2025

Final Thoughts:

Strong main event and stronger ending between Fletcher/Garcia.  Both men were going on all four cylinders, and rightly, the Protostar is due for a big push.  I think Garcia will play his part in the upcoming PPV, but this is a good pairing of Fletcher/Cole for the TNT title, Bay Bay.

I also liked FTR and The Outrunners and hope this isn’t the last we see of them in competition.  Knight/Wayne/Benjamin was the sleeper match of the night, and seeing Scorpio Sky back in the ring was a huge treat.

Oh, and whichever Booker Monkey™ kept Sky off the roster these last two or so years…don’t do that again.

Until then, we’ll see ya next time for the ALL IN PPV!
