Although he was part of the birth of AEW in the SoCal Uncensored stable Scorpio Sky hasn’t appeared on AEW television since Dynamite’s Over Budget Charity Battle Royal in September of 2023.

On his Creating Character podcast, Sky addressed why he hasn’t appeared as a regular talent for so long. It isn’t because he’s injured either. He states he is in great shape.

“My career has sure taken a nosedive hasn’t it? Anyone that has followed me obviously knows that things have been a little different over the last couple of years,” he began.

Sky wonders if him being benched has anything to do with what he has said in the media.

“To be honest with you I didn’t lie when I was on the show but I definitely went out of my way to not make the company look bad. I really obviously wanted to preserve a relationship that had been built over a number of years and so I didn’t want to say anything that would like poison that relationship. Come to find out, I think someone there, still, maybe had a few issues with some of the things I did say. So now I’m like, Screw it, I’m going to say whatever the hell I want now,” he said.

In the interview, he noted the challenges of re-entering AEW’s rotation due to the company’s growing roster and the limited opportunities available. Despite thise challenges he expressed a desire to return to the ring and continue his career.

Sky explained on his show that he is in the dark about why he isn’t being utilized.

“The reality is I don’t know what it is. I don’t know if there is bad blood or not. I know I’m healthy and I’ve been healthy for a long time and I’ve been wanting to compete but it’s just one of those things where — What can you do? You only have so much say,” he stated.
