A car tire, of all things, became involved in the second night of Best of the Super Juniors. Why would a tire be hidden under the ring, you may ask? That’s a good question.
Connors took things outside the ring during his match with Master Wato. He bounced his head off the ring apron before heaving him through like six rows of ringside seats after warning fans to get the hell out of the way.
Both men battled on the floor until Wato was pitched through three more rows of chairs. Connors beat Wato with a chair and threw him into a steel post. Connors pulled the tire out from under the ring, hit Wato in the stomach with it and then smashed his knee on the steel hub cap. Connors speared Wato and gave him a No Chaser to notch two points in the tournament.
