Last night on Smackdown, someone wearing a hoodie and mask tried to attack WWE Champion John Cena from behind as he was addressing the crowd.
Cena insisted that Orton wasn’t in attendance as he had taken his advice to stay home with his family until the big fight.
The attacker, who was noticeably shorter than Orton, attempted a very weak RKO from behind.
Cena pushed him off and gave him an Attitude Adjustment.
That was just a decoy though.
The real Orton hit Cena with an RKO and then posed over him with the title.
Although the decoy tried to cover their tattoos fans recognized him as NXT’s Shawn Spears.
Spears is currently the leader of NXT’s The Culling faction with members Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance and Izzi Dame.
