I’m pretty sure it was because I was very sleepy, but all that yammering between Knight and Priest over who should get a Championship match against Jacob Fatu were forcing my eyes to shut down occasionally. I’m sorry. Ha! I wasn’t fully paying attention. But they sanctioned a match that was ultimately interrupted by the Bloodline since Fatu’s name was being dropped one too many times. Let’s not forget, Sikoa was taken out momentarily, which encouraged the Samoan Werewolf to make an appearance and dismantle everyone that moves.
Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. Pretty Deadly – Tag Team match
Nathan and Axiom were on a roll versus Pretty Deadly that Kit Wilson and Elton Prince were slow to catch up and block attacks, resulting in them being on the receiving end for the most part. Wilson managed to turn things around after delivering that abrupt kick to Frazer’s face, followed by an arm drag and into a failed cover. Once Prince came into the fray, he continued to apply relentless pressure on his opponent.
God knows what happened, but Pretty Deadly soon re-experienced whiplash as Fraxiom successfully suicide dive after them. It was when Prince suddenly caught Axiom mid-air that the momentum changed in favor of Pretty Deadly as they double team on the opposition.
Axiom held his own long enough to finally tag Frazer, who came in guns blazing in the form of a arial drop kick. He took them both with a double DDT. I was so sure that that Shooting Star he performed was sufficient, but apparently not. Given the bad angle, I couldn’t see Elton’s shoulder go up, but the official did. So, Fraxiom readjusted themselves with a victorious Spanish Fly and a Phoenix Splash.
Winners: Frazer & Axiom
I’m really enjoying Naomi’s darker side. Not that her old self was something to frown about, but everyone has a more somber side to themselves that only a few without hesitation decide to put it in the forefront. Others, strategically wait, bind their time. The change only feels like change when it comes at you in packages. Naomi’s descent is a great example of a slow-acting poison. Due to her arrival to the main stage, she, Jade, Tiffy and Nia enter a brawl that later turned into a main event.
Aleister Black vs. The Miz
Aleister has been incredible the entire match, despite Miz’s best efforts to fight him off, he wasn’t on the same level. Miz ate a knee to the chest after jumping of the steel stairs wanting to deliver a fist to Black’s face. Just as Miz was charging at Aleister, he didn’t expect his opponent to knock him out senseless. Black was doing very well, too well, which influenced Carmelo Hayes to distract Black, allowing Miz to roll him up. Aleister returned fight with a round hound kick, called Black Mass, to finish the job. Hayes didn’t look happy.
Winner: Aleister Black
Zelina Vega vs. Piper Niven
Vega has been doing her greatest to match Niven’s pound-for-pound with a tornado DDT just when she was about to receive punishment. She nearly picked up the win there. Zelina was looking for Code Red, yet given Piper’s size, she wasn’t able to. It wasn’t until later, when Chelsea Green intercepted, that Vega was successful.
Winner: Zelina Vega
Rey Fenix vs. Santos Escobar
Fenix was taking control of the fight, even when he would find himself in a dire situation, he would come out on top by performing an amazing Huricanara. I suppose Fenix’s boastfulness slowed him down a little, and gave Escobar the breathing room to capitalized by shoving him towards the ring apron.
Rey made a comeback while performing a springboard Moonsault that almost granted him the win, so he buckled down with a drop kick to the spine of Escobar, then followed that up Adios Amigos and finally, a triumphant Meteora. Santos barely had his foot in.
Winner: Rey Fenix
Naomi & Nia Jax vs. Jade Cargill & Tiffany Stratton
I love that the moment the bell rang, Naomi went after Jade, while Tiffy focused on Nia. It felt like two separate fights, but entertaining nonetheless as Cargill repeatedly banged Naomi’s head against the barricade until she was forced to drag her back inside the ring before the ten count. Naomi pulled the rug from beneath Jade’s feet by smacking her just as she was climbing in. Things get even worst when Jax secretly tagged herself in and bulldozed through Cargill.
It seemed all too effortless during Nia’s beatdown of Jade after squashing her head towards the post. This make-chief team of Naomi and Nia has been working well thus far as they trap Cargill in their corner to prevent her from reaching Stratton. Jade attempted to fright back, yet the retaliation didn’t last very long. Cargill was still in desperate need of a tag.
Later on, Cargill managed to dodge an incoming attack from Nia in hopes to tag Stratton. Unfortunately, whatever momentum she had was easily washed away by the brutality that is Naomi and Jax. Regardless of the bluntness, Cargill delivered a flatliner to create space. She almost didn’t make it, luckily, Tiffy was able to enter the game versus Nia. She came close to pinning the Irresistible Force.
Jax had Stratton dead to rights after that leg drop across her throat, but that blind tag from Naomi forced her to exit the ring. Naomi wanted to end this, yet she collided with a set of double knees to the gut coming down from a split-legged Moonsault. A fired up Jade came sprinting in and wreaking everyone… Since Naomi nearly got pinned, Nia quickly swooped in to break it up.
She squashed Cargill at least twice before entering a cover just so Tiffany could foil it with a Swanton. Jax had enough “team bonding” for tonight, so she literally kicked Naomi off the apron. Ha! I didn’t mean to laugh, though. Anyway, Jax was looking for the Annihilator, Jade escaped through the back door and powerbombed her opponent for the win.
Post-match, Jade sparked interest in the WWE Women’s Championship belt she just so happened to be holding in-hand. She and Stratton have a little tussle over it, but it was Naomi who was the last one holding it.
Winners: Tiffany Stratton & Jade Cargill
