Cody’s music hit and he hits the ring. There are dueling “Let’s go Cena!” and “Cena sucks!” chants. Cody begins speaking about facing off against John Cena but Randy Orton make his presence known. Orton starts praising Rhodes’s evolution as WWE Champion. It quickly becomes a Cody Rhodes Appreciation Society meeting. He attributes WWE’s current success to Cody Rhodes. Cody looks as if he is going to tear up. Orton puts his arm around him and says he is proud of him…but…it is time for WrestleMania. The crowd cheers RKO! RKO! Orton cannot wait until he kicks Owens in the head. He warns Cody that he will be challenging him in future. He won’t kick him in the balls but look at him in the eye and tell him he is coming for the championship.

That brings out Drew McIntyre. He is sick at watching the nonsense going on in the ring. He doesn’t think Orton deserves a title shot and he knows Orton’s back is hanging by a thread and he could break it any time. Cody drops down and punches Drew in the face. Orton goes for the RKO but Drew bails.


The Street Profits (c) versus Pretty Deadly – WWE Tag Team Championship Match

Deadly is dressed in British colours and get a great welcome. The Profits retain with the Doomsday Blockbuster.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter versus Piper Niven and Alba Fyre

Chelsea Green distracts the official. Chance berates Green. Niven pushes Carter into Chance. Piper scores the win with her Piper Driver on Carter. Niven, Green and Fyre give Chance and Carter a beatdown. Zelina Vega comes to the rescue punching Fyre on the way down to the ring. Chelsea flees the scene. Vega spikes Niven. Green attacks Vega from behind and the crowd cheers her. Vega fights back but the numbers game catches up with her. Niven drops a big leg drop on her.

Winners: Piper Niven and Alba Fyre


Braun Strowman versus LA Knight (c) – United States Championship Match

Braun blocks the BFT and clotheslines him over the top rope. Strowman goes for the Express. Jacob Fatu appears leveling Strowman with a running elbow. He hits Knight with a running knee. Fatu gives Strowman a Samoan Drop on the announce table. Back in the ring, Fatu puts Strowman in a corner and charges from across the ring. Knight lands some punches and goes for a BFT. Fatu shoves Knight off the ropes, catches him and drops him with a Samoan Drop. Fatu hits Strowman over and over with his charges in a corner and his moonsault.

Winners: Match thrown out.


Jackie Redmond interviews Jimmy Uso. He says he would slap Gunther again if he had the chance. He is cornered by The Miz and Carmelo Hayes. They mock him as “The Other Uso”. Jimmy challenges Miz to a match tonight.

Jacob Fatu bumps into Solo and Tonga. Solo wonders why Fatu went out by himself. Fatu warns Solo not to give him any grief. Fatu reminds them both they didn’t tap in for him last week. Solo advises Fatu lower his tone. Fatu does. Fatu says with Strowman, he will be the “last man standing”. Fatu claims he will bring the US Championship to the family with or without their help.

Naomi sits in what looks like a kitchen. A creepy music box tune plays. She says she always does the right thing. She wants Bianca to realize that her attack on Jade was just doing the right thing. She claims she has sacrificed so much for Bianca and now she looks the bad person. Naomi starts crying. She claims Jade took her place. Naomi is tired of being undervalued and the second fiddle in the WWE. “Jade if you continue to be in my way you should proceed with caution,” she warns.

Jade meets with GM Aldis. She wants Naomi. Aldis says nobody has seen her around. B-Fab and Michin bump into Jade. They are on her side.

We see another black and white, smoke promo but this time with a voice that says: “You are as I was, as I am. You will be…” The number IV flashes.


Michin versus Charlotte Flair

As Michin and B-Fab pose in the ring Naomi blindsides them. She slams Michin’s head into the mat and unloads on her then kicks K-Fab out of the ring. She throws her into the ringside barricade and into the announce table. Jade finally runs down to the ring. Naomi is long gone into the crowd though.

Charlotte Flair comes to the ring. Jade gives her the once over as she does. Flair wins with the Figure Eight.

Winner: Charlotte Flair


Jackie Redmond interviews Tiffany Stratton. Stratton claims that Flair fears a “rookie”. If Flair wins, she beats a rookie who has had one year on Smackdown. If Stratton wins, Flair lost to a rookie.


Randy Orton versus Drew McIntyre

Owens creeps down to ringside. Orton is distracted. Drew hits his Claymore. Owens pulls Orton out of the ring. He slams his head into the announce table and attempts to piledrive Orton on the announce table. As Orton goes for a punt, Owens leaps over the barricade and hits the road running.

Winner: Drew McIntyre


A promo for Rey Fenix airs. He will be debuting on the next episode of Smackdown. The announcers mention that Penta and Fenix are brothers.


Jimmy Uso versus The Miz

Miz springboards off the ropes. Uso kicks him in the face. Uso Splash. 1-2-3. Uso climbs on the announce table, grabs a headset. On the microphone he warns Gunther he is coming for him on Raw.

Jackie Redmond interviews Drew McIntyre. Drew says Priest doesn’t have the balls to face him on Smackdown. He isn’t even there tonight which means…Drew opens a door to leave and Priest is behind it. Priest smashes McIntyre’s head into a parked car. The owner goes mental. Priest slams him through a table. Drew fights back as he turns around. South of Heaven through the windshield of the car. “I am done. Done for now. Rest in peace, jackass!” says Priest. Drew cries out that there is glass in his eye.

CM Punk is walking to the ring for the contract signing. He walks by Drew laying on top of the car and laughs at him.


Roman Reigns is out first for the contract signing. Heyman dusts off a chair for him. The crowd chants Roman’s name and so does Heyman on his knees. Reigns puts pen to paper. Seth Rollins is out next. Rollins goes over their history together. Roman: “We died a long time ago.” Rollins is fed up with Roman’s ego. That is why he feels it is his duty to keep screwing him. CM Punk is next out. Punk: “I am all out of bubble gum.” Punk scans the contract over and over. Heyman: I know what you are looking for and it is in there. “You are closing the show at WrestleMania. You get to live your dream of all dreams. CM Punk, you are a WrestleMania main-eventer,” he says.

Roman laughs. Rollins pitches fit saying Punk doesn’t deserve it. Roman says Punk should be thanking him not Heyman. He asks Punk to thank him properly. Punk gets on his knees. “Thank you, my Tribal Chief, the Head of the Table, the Big Dog. Thank you for allowing a kid from Chicago to be graced by your presence, stand in your ring but because of you I will see you in the main event of WrestleMania,” he says. Rollins is furious.

“But, that is not the favour I am owed,” says Punk standing up.
