Although he has been retired from in-ring action since 2021, Scream star David Arquette has stepped back into a wrestling ring.
David Arquette made a surprise appearance inside the Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) ring this weekend at the inaugural Horror Rock and Wrestle Fest at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester.
At Horror Rock and Wrestle Fest, Arquette took to the stage for a panel discussion with fellow Scream alumni Liana Liberato (Quinn Bailey in Scream VI) before making his way to the ICW ring to personally meet with wrestlers and staff. Though he didn’t compete, his presence in the squared circle drew excitement from the live audience.
“We were thrilled to welcome David into an ICW ring,” said Thomas Kearins, spokesperson for Insane Championship Wrestling. “If he ever decides to lace up his boots again, he’ll always be welcome.”
Arquette’s foray into wrestling began in 2000 after starring in the film Ready to Rumble. He was worked into WCW storylines and was even the WCW World Heavyweight Champion for 12 days. He went on to appear in WWE, Border City Wrestling and Impact Wrestling. He starred in the documentary You Cannot Kill David Arquette will chronicled his return to wrestling.
With ICW: Dream Warriors streaming worldwide tomorrow on TrillerTV+ fans are wondering if he makes an appearance.
