The quarter-finals for the New Japan Cup are all set for this weekend. On night five not only did the Bullet Club and House of Torture war heat up but three more competitors moved on in the New Japan Cup.
After being dragged into the Bullet Club War Dogs, House of Torture war tonight, Drilla Moloney went on to defeat TJP with a Drilla Killa.
Shingo Takagi won a battle of the bulls by beating Boltin Oleg with an impressive Last of the Dragon.
In a somewhat surprise win, the much-talked about Jeff Cobb (who might be heading to WWE soon) beat Tetsuya Naito after two Tour of the Islands to solidify his place in the tournament this weekend.

The New Japan Cup is NJPW’s annual single-elimination tournament. The winner is rewarded with an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match.

Just like the last card, Nagata makes Katsuya submit to the Nagata Lock. Sigh.

House of Torture (Sho, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) versus Bullet Club War Dogs (Sanada, Gabe Kidd, Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens)
Everyone brawls on the floor as the feud escalates. Kidd, who was screwed out of the New Japan Cup tournament, goes right after Ren Narita bouncing him off arena walls and off a table. He even gets whipped through the audience and into their abandoned chairs. Kidd drags Narita back inside the ring bashing him with haymakers and forearms in a corner. Evil holds Kidd’s legs as Dick Togo chokes him with his garotte from behind. House of Torture is DQ’ed. David Finlay runs down to the ring.

As a result of the previous match this happens. Gabe gets on the microphone. He claims Osaka is War Dogs country. He demands a match between both factions. The match is granted. The bell rings. House of Torture wins after lots of Shenanigans. Evil and Togo pin Gedo with a Magic Killer.
