As a guest of Bill Aptor on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Typhoon (Fred Ottman) has confirmed that The Natural Disasters will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Typhoon and Earthquake (John Tenta) comprised the team from 1991 to 1993.

Although they feuded with The Legion of Doom, Money Inc., and other teams at the time they disbanded during the 1993 Royal Rumble. The team won the WWF Tag Team Championships once when they defeated Money Inc. at a house show in 1992. They would lose the belts back to them three months later on an episode of Wrestling Challenge.

“It is an honor. It was crazy when I got that phone call! I couldn’t believe it!” Ottman told Apter.

He said of Tenta: “Hewas literally my brother from another mother…John (Tenta) was just so amazing as an athlete. I was proud when they put us together.”

WWE itself has not announced the news that The Natural Disasters will be inducted just yet. The other inductees this year are HHH, Lex Luger and Michelle McCool.

The ceremony itself takes place on April 18th.
