Greetings and salutations! It’s Wednesday and that means that it’s time for a new episode of AEW Dynamite. Orange Cassidy gets a shot at the AEW International Championship as he faces Konosuke Takeshita with the winner set to defend the title against Kenny Omega at AEW Revolution. We also have a “bounty” match as Bryan Keith faces Will  Ospreay. Also on the show we have Daniel Garcia and FTR team up in trios action against The Undisputed Kingdom and we will hear from Swerve Strickland among other things scheduled for tonight’s show. Here is the full preview:

To start the show we have MJF talking to Hangman Adam Page. MJF is getting his “Bet on yourself” tattoo removed. MJF does his usual stick. MJF calls Page a phony and says that starting today he will be betting on ONLY himself and that only three letters matter to him, and that’s MJF.


“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Aaron Solo

Page takes charge early and hits a big boot. Page fights Solo in the corner, but Solo mounts a small comeback. Page gets control and eventually hits the Buckshot Lariat to pick up the quick win.

Winner: “Hangman” Adam Page

After the match, Page gets a microphone and a chair after. Page says that he is not leaving until someone drags MJF to the ring. MJF’s comes out wiping his hands clean and says that he won’t fight Page right now, and he calls him heartless. MJF says he’s going to train hard for his match against Page at AEW Revolution. MJF then hints and says that he’s worried about Page’s friend, and he should check on him. We cut to the back and Christopher Daniels is shown beat up and bleeding. Page runs to Daniels and asks where MJF went.


The Don Callis Family is shown watching the show from a box in the arena.

A video package shows the ROH World Championship match from Collision between Chris Jericho and Bandido.

Backstage, Renee Paquette goes to Jericho and asks him his thoughts about the Bryan Keith/Will Ospreay match. Don Callis shows up and Chris Jericho says that he worked with Don Callis to set up a match between Bryan Keith and Will Ospreay tonight. He believes Keith has what it takes to beat Ospreay and collect a bounty.


Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Keith

Ospreay and Keith start at 50/50/. Keith with some hard shots on Ospreay, but Ospreay comes right back with a Headscissors takedown. They trade blows until Ospreay hits a Two Arm Drag that causes Keith to regain his composure and take a break at ringside. Ospreay dives onto Keith. Back in the ring, Ospreay goes for a Springboard dive, but Keith moves out of the way and send Ospreay to ringside. Keith hits Ospreay with a boot as he grounds and pounds him. Ospreay rallies with his kicks and strikes. Ospreay hits the Os-cutter for a 2-count. Keith returns the favour with a Powerbomb. Ospreay hits Keith with a Styles Clash and Hidden Blade combo for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

Ospreay has words with The Callis Family from their box and eventually brawls with Kyle Fletcher until security separates them


We are told that AEW Women’s Champion, Toni Storm was told not to travel after he beatdown on Collision from Mariah May and will be evaluated.

A video package showing STARDOM’s Momo Watanabe airs.

TBS Champion Mercedes Moné is shown backstage, and she says Momo Watanabe made a mistake by choosing to face her at AEW Revolution. Billie Stark bumps into Mone and she slaps a cup out of her hands. Starkz gets in her face and calls her a “narcissistic bitch.” Watanabe shows up like Sting with bat and all and takes a swing at the TBS Champion, but misses her. Watanabe picks up the title….

 


The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) vs. The Murder Machines (Brian Cage & Lance Archer)

Murder machines control a lot of this match as they have the obvious size advantage. Cage knocks down Floyd who was on apron. Cage and Archer destroy Magnum in their corner. Magnum takes a beating but mounts a comeback that culminates in a Double Dropkick. The Outrunners toss Archer to ringside, but that was all the Outrunners could do as Cage and Archer take control of the match. Murder Machines have their way with Magnum, until he gets the hot tag after escaping some punches.

Floyd clears house with a flurry of offense, but that gets stopped abruptly when Archer delivers a Big Boot. Cage suplexes Magnum on the floor. Archer gets a two-count with a chokeslam. Archer is ready to win but but The Hurt Syndicate’s music plays and Floyd counters The Blackout into a pin for the upset win.

Winners: The Outrunners

The Outrunners celebrate and join The Hurt Syndicate at the top of the ramp and look like they are ready to take the titles.


Swerve has some words….

Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana are out and Swerve says that when he was AEW champion he fought and defended it every night. Serve says that the title has been his major focus and that even though he isn’t champion, he is still the man around here. Serve says that he needs gold around his waist to prove it. Serve then shifts attention to Nana’s robe.

Ricochet is out and says he won’t be facing Swerve Strickland again and the next he sees him, he will be wearing gold. Nana tells him that after speaking with Tony Khan they agreed that the fans deserve a rematch. Nana then announces that whoever wins that match will become the #1 contender to the AEW World Championship. Ricochet accepts, but then claims the match won’t happen there, but instead they will do it at Revolution. Nana then begs for Swerve to go back to who he really is, which is the most dangerous man in AEW and has to get his robe back, or else he isn’t sure if he can continue.


Renee Paquette runs into “Hangman” Adam Page, and says he will find MJF, or he’ll wish that he had.


Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs. Daniel Garcia & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)

Wheeler and O’Reilly have a 50/50 lockup. Cole and Garcia are then in and they really get this match going. Harwood was tagged in the match and delivered some hard chops to Cole. Garcia is back in and they also fall into a stalemate. Strong and Harwood trade chops and eventually, the match picks and and breaks down all at once as all four men brawl at ringside and trace moves over and onto the barricades.

 

Back in the ring, Garcia and FTR go for stereo submissions, but Undisputed Kingdom counters into pins. Harwood locks a Sharpshooter on Cole until O’Reilly puts Harwood in a Guillotine. Cole stacks up Garcia for the pin.

Garcia extends the hand to Cole, but O’Reilly kicks it away. We almost get another brawl, but Undisputed Kingdom leave.


Another two down

Claudio Castagnoli is backstage and Cope attacks him. Cope drags Castagnoli to ringside until Wheeler Yuta attacks Cope. Castagnoli and Yuta double-team Cope with a chair and even go for a Con-Chair-To, until Jay White makes the save. Cope hits Castagnoli with a chair and follows that up with a Spear. Marina Shafir iis out and tried to choke Cope, but he escapes, and Yuta accidentally hits her with a knee that dops her. White with a Bladerunner on Yuta. Cope hits Castagnoli with a Con-Chair-To. While this is happening, Jon Moxley is out and is just watching as White blocks him from coming too close to the ring. Cope sets up a Con-Chair-Go to Marina Shafir, but Willow Nightingale comes out and hits the Con-Chair-To for him.


Deonna Purrazo vs. Harley Cameron

Purrazzo controls a lot fo the match and through it is trying to get the Fujiwara arm-bar on. Cameron with a Neck-breaker on Purrazo, but Purrazo kicks Cameron with a boot and takes control again. Cameron makes a small comeback, but Purrazzo with a leg-sweep as Cobra Kai would do. Purrazzo with a Powerbombs for a 2-count. Purrazo is struggling to lock the Fujiwara arm-bar. Cameron escapes and hits a Crossrhodes to pick up the win.

Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir are shown getting loaded into an ambulance as Nightingale, White, and Cope are happy about what they just accomplished.

AEW International Championship: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Orange Cassidy

Takeshita and Cassidy are in the middle of the ring as Takeshita breaks Cassidy’s sunglasses. Cassidy pulls out another pair and the match can finally start. Cassidy with some Dropkicks to start, until Takeshita hits him with a Shoulder Tackle. Cassidy is up and looks for the Orange Punch, but Takeshita moves out of the way. Cassidy with some hard kicks, followed by a DDT. Takeshita is back as he hits a elbow strike to Cassidy. Cassidy is up, but Takeshita drops him with a clothesline. Takeshita with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a 2-count.

Cassidy and Takeshita fight at ringside and Don Callis tries to interfere but the ref stops him. Meanwhile, Takeshita with some hard punches and kicks to Cassidy, but Cassidy returns the favour with the Beach Break onto the announce desk. Cassidy hits the Orange Punch and a DDT onto the hard concrete floor. Cassidy for an Orange Punch, but Takeshita evades it and hits a huge Elbow strike to Cassidy. Cassidy hits the Stun-dog Millionaire, and goes for an Orange Punch, but Takeshita dodges it and in a bit hits Raging Fire for the win.

Winner and still AEW International Champion: Konosuke Takeshita

At revolution it will be Kenny Omega facing Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Title. Takeshita celebrates as the show goes off the air.
