It’s Saturday night and it is all right for fighting, so you know what that means?

No, we will not fake the funk on a nasty dunk, Shaq.

And no, Elton John is not licensing that song for All Elite Wrestling. Nor are we dealing with the NBA All-Star Weekend.

It’s time for AEW Grand Slam, and that means The Don Callis Family to go to war with Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, and Mariah May will defend her title against “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

This is coming to you (taped) from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia. Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness have the call as we go to your First Match of the Night…

Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega vs. The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita)

Callis gets on commentary and we head to the races as Fletcher and Ospreay start.

Wanna know what happens?  Thankfully, YouTube makes my job easier, so here it is.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.

So…Mega Powers anyone?

Next is the match somebody in Australia clamored for the…

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Harley Cameron

I’ll say this…Australia loves Cameron and she is a latter-day Trish Stratus if she keeps it IP.  Also interesting is Momo Watanabe from Wrestle Dynasty is at ringside.  Before I can ask, “What in the name of Joshi is going on?”, let’s just focus on the action:

Your Winner via Pinfall, and still AEW TBS Champion: Mercedes Moné

Now for a lot of chaos someone asked for, we get a…

Brisbane Brawl: Jay White and Cope vs. the Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli)

Other than the fact there is bell-to-bell action, this is how it went down…

Your winners via Pinfall:  The Death Riders

We get a short word from Omega and Ospreay and tell me you aren’t getting Mega Powers vibes from this promo…

Now for a match some Australians asked for, it is for the…

AEW Continental Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Buddy Matthews

There’s a nice pop for Matthews, and….yeah, can ya tell I have zero interest?  I thought the last few segments made it clear.

Ah, well.  enjoy this clip:

Your Winner via Pinfall, and Still AEW Continental Champion: Kazuchika Okada

Can ya tell I’m done with this show?

In any case, we get a promo explaining what happened between Storm and May…

And that gives ya the Main Event is up and it is for the…

AEW Women’s World Championship: Mariah May (c) vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm (with Luther)

Luther comes out in the crowd in movie usher gear, which is priceless (along with a fanboy at ringside holding a sign that says, “Rip her t*** off!!”

Heh.  Classy.

In any case…well, watch for yourself…

Your Winner, and New AEW Women’s World Champion:  “Timeless” Toni Storm

All of Brisbane is aglow as the show wraps up.

AEW Grand Slam: 2/15/2025

Final Thoughts:

On a scale of one to Battle of the Belts, I can say confidently…this happened.

Other than Australians loving their hometown heroes, this wasn’t too exciting a show other than Storm winning the big one.

I’m sure Sully will be back next wet, so enjoy this.
