The AEW roster has grown smaller.
Today, there is news that several talent are no longer with the company,
Reports state that Miro has left. He has been asking for his release from AEW for quite awhile and it appears he has been granted his wish. Battling a number of injuries Miro hasn’t wrestled for the company since the Worlds End show in December of 2023. He lost against Andrade. Miro’s ex-wife, C.J. Perry (AKA: Lana) was brought in for the angle but then left AEW three months later.
Also having been removed from the AEW roster page is Ricky Starks. Starks signed with AEW in 2020. His charisma and talent in the ring had him pegged as an up and coming main event star. He never reached the heights he could have though and expressed his disillusionment with the company as a whole.
In one interview he said: “It’s a mind f–k because I’m in my prime and it sucks when you’re on such a momentum, riding the wave and doing stuff and then to just be at home…Do I have speculations about why I’m not being used? Absolutely.”
Whether you call him Aleister or Malakai, Mr. Black is also gone from the AEW roster page. AEW all but confirmed his departure in recent weeks with the other member of The House of Black forming a new faction and referencing their leader’s absence. Black’s wife, Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad0, currently works in WWE.
